Accessing Wesley College SkyDrive Application 8/15/2012 In addition to Student Email, students also have access to the Microsoft SkyDrive, a cloudcomputing storage area. SkyDrive offers 25Gb of storage for any file type, including pictures, music, and other documents. Student SkyDrive accounts also include access to Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Access to SkyDrive is from any computer on or off campus, through any Internet browser. To access SkyDrive: 1. Open your Internet browser and enter the URL for the Wesley Email: http://email.wesley.edu. Wesley Student email is hosted by Microsoft Live. 2. You should see the following connection dialog box (IE): 3. Type in your Windows Live ID, which is your Wesley Email ID ([email protected]). 4. Type in your password. 5. Click “Sign In” to log into your account. SkyDrive is a cloud computing storage area offering up to 25gb of storage, as well as access to online versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Enter your Birth Year and Country/Region on this screen, then click “I ACCEPT”. This is the SkyDrive screen, displaying the document folders and links to the Microsoft Office programs. To upload files for sharing from any computer, click on “UPLOAD” To upload files, navigate to the file you want to upload and double-click it. The system will show your file being uploaded: You also have access to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Click on the CREATE menu item, then select the program you want. Accessing Wesley College Student E-mail 8/15/2012 To use these programs, follow the screen prompts for the specific program you selected: A new document will be created in your SkyDrive with this name, and the program you selected will open. With Microsoft Word, you have the ability to enter text, format it, add pictures or other graphics, as well as many other tools. Printing an Excel document opens a “friendly” view of the spreadsheet with a button to print to your printer.
