Mira and Martin
AUTHOR Anna Ehring
FORMAT 135x185 mm, 144 pages
Mira and Martin often hang out together. They have a special place in the
woods where they meet. But at school they hardly acknowledge one another.
Mira lives with her mother, in a house close to the woods. She likes that
and is happy. She enjoys her life at home and at school (for the most part).
But there's something tough however, it is about finding and using the right
words when people are around. She cannot just stand quietly and look
stupid. Like that time when Mira finally gets asked to hang out with some
people at school and listen to their band rehearsal. Martin plays the guitar
in the band. There are emotions that overwhelm and complicate everything
when Mira and Martin see each other.
And this thing about the pressure to have a best friend at school, it's not
exactly Mira’s thing ... however hard she tries, it is difficult for her to always
keep hanging out with the same person.
Expect identification, giggles and maybe some tears as we dive into Mira
and her world. A world where friends, school life and overarching emotions
are at the center.
Anna Ehring, the August-nominated author of Jam Sandwiches and Hard
Life, is back with a warm and humorous book for middle graders.

Billie’s optimism and curiosity are her strength, even when the October's sky
lies low and secrets are still kept behind closed doors. Sara Kadefors book
series on Billie has been praised by readers and critics.
Billie still lives with family Persson in Bokarp. Life at the foster family
continues to come with its lot of surprises and new activities for Billie,
ranging from leave raking to night orienteering. The heavy feeling that filled
the house has now been given a name - Casper, the little brother who died in
an accident. It felt like lifting a lid. But there are more things to consider. It
seems that Alvar and his cousin Douglas hate each other for real. Why? No
one wants to tell Billie. She therefore singlehandedly decides to invite Douglas
in on Alvar’s birthday. It will not be the biggest success. At school, Billie is
very much appreciated. When she is chosen to be in the Friends Scheme at
school, she feels like she is simply not enough, that she cannot help everyone
the way she would want to, and gets overwhelmed. Everyone wants Billie’s
attention and want to confide in her. Everyone except perhaps Douglas. He
deliberately avoids Billie’s gaze at school, but it awakens something in her
that she just cannot put into words.

FORMAT 135x185 mm, 288 pages
Summer Camp. Everything is perfect. Perfect, that is, until Clea shows
up from the future and tells a story that is as improbable as frightening.
Jesper Danielsson has written an evocative thriller and adventure that
immediately captivates. Summer reading at its very best!
It's the first week of the summer holidays. Jonte, Axel and Jimmy have
managed to convince their parents that they do not need to go to the
leisure club and can fend for themselves. The meals are all planned,
there are rules to follow, what could possibly go wrong?
On day one, they notice some smoke coming from the neighbor’s
chimney. Nothing strange, if it wasn’t that the house has been empty
for as long as they can remember.
No one lives there, so who can possibly have lit up a fire?
Axel decides at once to jump over the hedge to investigate. Jonte and
Jimmy have no choice but to follow. They find a jungle on the other
side. With all senses on high alert, they step through the overgrown
grass, all the way to the house.
Jonte notices someone going in front of the window upstairs.
It will turn out to be Clea, a very ordinary girl… from the future.
Jesper Danielsson's
Before and after Clea is an exciting and
hard to put down thriller.

Reasonably Lucky Moments
AUTHOR Åsa Asptjärn
FORMAT 125x197 mm, 224 pages
New term, new school and new friends. Emanuel can finally be a
whole new person and start afresh. But who is he? And perhaps
more importantly, who does he want to be? With Emanuel Kent, Åsa
Asptjärn created a brilliant anti-hero, the Swedish response to Sue
Townsend's Adrian Mole classics.
It is the last day of summer. Emanuel Kent and his friend Tore are
lying on their backs in the grass and assess the situation before the
start of school. They agree that they need a strategy, for they now
have the chance to start anew and become the person they want to be.
And Emanuel does his absolute best, he reckons, trying to find the
right clothes and to pick up on the latest trends, such as this thing of
coming to class with coffee in a disposable carton mug. But things still
don’t go that well.
There are some strong personalities in Emanuel’s class, such as
Frank, who can act as a leader better than any other. And there is also
Kaisa. Kaisa who can give Emanuel real moments of happiness.
But soon Emanuel finds himself in a storm of confusion once again,
with an unknown jazz musician, an LGBT demonstration as well as a
letter he never wrote.

I am seventeen years old. I decided to become an adult less than
24 hours ago and I'm already a criminal. Now I'm on the run
from the police and hiding in the woods.
When Mom travels to the countryside with her new lover
and Dad flies to Mallorca with his new family, Mia is left alone
in town during the summer break. Both her parents think she is
going to spend the summer with the other. Instead of pointing
out the mistake, Mia decides to cope on her own.
This marks the start to a few turbulent months where Mia
learns all about surviving without work and money. She breaks
into the house she lived in as a child in a desperate attempt
to get back to a more secure existence. She sets up camp and
ends up in the hands of drug dealers and others who exploit
vulnerable young girls - but she never, ever, sees herself as a
victim.
Moa Herngren grabs the reader's attention from the start
and has written an action-filled book about living a hard life
