ABOUT JUJA
Juja is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of four constituencies in Thika District.
It is located 36 kilometers northeast of Nairobi, along Nairobi-Thika Highway. It lies
between Thika and Nairobi with Nairobi being the capital city of Kenya.
Thika is an industrial town in Central Province, Kenya, lying on the A2 road 40 kilometers
(25 mi) north east of Nairobi. It is the next town after Juja and only 10Km from Juja.
Thika has a population of 200,000 and is growing rapidly, as is the entire greater Nairobi
area.
Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The city and its surrounding area also
form the Nairobi County. Inhabitants of Nairobi are referred to as Nairobians, and the
city is governed by the County Government of Nairobi. Nairobi is the most populous city
in East Africa, with a current estimated population of about 3 million. Nairobi is now one
of the most prominent cities in Africa both politically and financially.

Once you land at the airport remember to adjust your time.
ELECTRICITY
Electricity
Electricity in Kenya is between 220 and 240 volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. If you
travel to Kenya with a device that does not accept 240 Volts at 50 Hertz, you will need a
voltage converter and an adapter that fits the plug sockets in Kenya.
Electrical sockets (outlets) in Kenya are the "Type G" British BS-1363 type. If your appliance's
plug doesn't match the shape of these sockets, you will need a travel plug adapter in order to
plug in. Travel plug adapters simply change the shape of your appliance's plug to match
whatever type of socket you need to plug into.
