About Jorge Eduardo Castillo: Jorge Eduardo Castillo, born and raised in Lima, Peru, is an award-winning executive with
over 17 years of experience. Over the span of his career, he has developed strategies that encompass the entire business
cycle, including those in strategic planning, sales, organizational development, process reengineering, new economy
public relations, branding and digital marketing. His passion for marketing, technology, and innovation, has helped
many companies grow and thrive even during bad economic times. In 2016 he was inducted into the Daily Record’s
VIP List “Very Important Professionals Successful by 40 awards”, in 2014 he was awarded the “40 under 40 People
to Watch” by the Baltimore Business Journal and the Franchise Business Review’s “Top Franchises Award” in 2009
and then again in 2011.
Currently, he is Chairman and President of the MD Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and C.E.O of his consulting
firm, ¡Onward! Estrategias. Mr. Castillo’s previous roles also include being Chief Marketing Officer in Residence at
the Emerging Technology Centers, Vice President of the There Goes My Hero Foundation, and Director of Analytics
and Return on Investment at R2integrated, where he oversaw the firm’s implementation of automated analytics
dashboards, ROI Key Performance Indicators and Analytics insights for clients ranging from mid-size companies to
Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft.
Mr. Castillo believes that today’s consumers are the most savvy, the most connected, the most informed and the least
forgiving. Thus, his strategies are built on top of 3 foundations: 1)Honesty and Respect 2)Continuous improvement
and 3)Personal stake in the future of the company. Jorge Eduardo Castillo is also heavily involved in the community
and participates actively in public-private action committees; providing pro-bono advice, consulting, facilitating
connections in the Baltimore-Washington metro area, and serving on various boards and steering committees. He has
spoken to several groups in high schools and universities about his experiences as a Latino leader and his “Chairman’s
Message” appears monthly on Mundo Latino.
He has been a speaker nationally and internationally as well as a guest lecturer at Towson University, Loyola
University Maryland and New York University. He is a Phi-Beta-Kappa graduate of Goucher College with a degree in
Biological sciences with a pre-medical concentration. He received his Master of Business Administration degree
from the Joseph E. Sellinger School of Business and Management at Loyola University Maryland. He was born in
Lima, Peru and currently resides in Baltimore, MD.
