The Hobbit Story
Chapter 1
​
Once upon a time,there was a Hobbit called Bilbo Baggins; he
lived in a hole in the ground.
One day, there was a shadowy figure approaching his cosy, warm
home.And who was it? None other but Gandalf the great! At first,
Bilbo didn't know who the shadow was because it was so dark and
gloomy, but once he had figured out that it was the wizard himself he was mind boggled and invited him to
come on a adventure. Bilbo thought long and hard but he was comfortable at his own home so he declined
the offer.
Chapter 2
Overnight, the dwarves and Gandalf slept over at
Bilbo's house without Bilbo knowing. In the
morning,Bilbo woke up to Dwarves doing his dishes
and cleaning his house this persuaded him to go on
the adventure so they all started to set off.
Chapter 3
Bilbo and the 13 dwarves set off to find Smaug the dragon to collect the treasure, but on there way to find
him they have many adventures, some are dangerous. At first they run into trolls which were having a
campfire outside of the black and gloomy cave . Bilbo and the dwarves craftily tried to pilfer the trolls
mutton, but they get caught and put into sacks of leather. A ginormous slimy troll scoops Bilbo into his
sweaty grubby hand when Gandalf appears out of nowhere and saves
them with the source of light ( his shiny, powerful staff ) that turns the
trolls to stone.
Chapter 4
After that, Bilbo ran into shelter to get away from the rain. All of a sudden, a crack opened in the wall and
goblins came flying out from every angle . They grabbed the 13 dwarves and Bilbo , Bilbo wriggled out the
hands of the Goblins and fell into a cave where he heard voices coming from afar . He found a shiny ring and
put it on his finger, he was invisible! A monster called Gollum came out his home across the lake. He
started asking Bilbo riddles to get out of the cave but he just turned invisible and walked out of the cave
because he was getting annoyed of all of the riddles.
Chapter 5
S​
oon after that,Bilbo arrives at the mountain and he finds Smaug the dragon's lair and also
finds Smaug sitting on the dwarves treasure.Bilbo escapes the lair of Smaug' but when he was
walking out he noticed a weak spot on Smaug’s chest .He went to tell the thrush to go tell the
human village to shoot the dragon in its weak spot.After that,Smaug left his lair and went to
attack the human village. Suddenly a man called Bard,the leader of the human village,
stepped up and shot the dragon. Smaug came dropping down into the sea to never to be seen
again.
Chapter 6
Marching to claim the dragon's treasure, the
humans met the dwarves to ask them for the
treasure the dwarves replied saying “No your
not having any of it finders keepers!” The elves, the Dwarves and the humans fought out for
the treasure .Then Gandalf shouted “the goblins are coming and we need to join
forces”.Suddenly the goblins came on wolves and attacked the humans the elves and the
Dwarves.Then Gandalf exclaimed “we need the lord of the Eagles”,and then it was the battle
of the five armies.After the battle only 7 Dwarves survived this tragic battle but soon there
was going to be 6 because Thorin was about to die.Then it was a dark day because the ones
which died risked their lives for everyone else.
2 hours later…
After the battle Bilbo arrived to his home with shared treasure and put the magic ring in a
glass container, Gandalf said “you may not know the full potential of the ring but your
children will”.”
