Step 1 — Timeless Wrap Watch
STEP 1: Gathering your Materials
Prepare your workspace and
gather your materials. You will
need a flat plier and a wire cutter
in addition to the contents of
your pillow pack.
Step 2
Start by opening one small silver jump ring with your pliers or jump ring opener.
First time using jump rings? Check out our how-to guide here!
Pull the jump ring through the both the last link on your chain and the bottom strap pin on
your watch.
Close the jump ring to secure.

Step 3
You will be using this first chain to designate the length of the bottom strap.
Place the watch face your hand facing up, and find the halfway point around on the back of
your hand.
Open (with a plier) or Cut (with a wire cutter) the chain to size.
Then, attach a Large Jump Ring to the end of the chain using a Small Jump Ring.
Step 4
Now that you have set up the first chain, you will use that as a size guide for the
leather straps.
Start by stringing the leather cord through the front of the strap pin, and fold it over in the
back. You will want about 1" of overlap for the leather cord.
You will be securing the leather in place with metal Crimp beads. Proceed to steps 5 & 6
to learn how to modify the crimps for this purpose.
You can place the watch and leather on the side until steps 5 & 6 are complete.

Step 5
Modifying your Crimps- PART 1
This step will show you how to modify your crimps to make them more suitable for the
watch strap.
Start by gripping the top loop on the crimp using your flat plier. The goal is to flatten it
(photo 1), in order to cut it off cleanly (photo 2).
If you don't get a clean cut the first time, try to get the wire cutter closer to the crimp
(photo 3).

Step 6
Modifying your Crimps- PART 2
The final modification to the Crimps is to slightly open them up to make them wider. This
will make it easier to slide the Crimp over the leather.
TIP: Only open up the crimps slightly, with a gentle hand, to avoid overworking the
metal and causing it to break. The first photo shows how slight the widening should be.
Use two sets of pliers to gently pull both sides open simultaneously.
Once you have modified all of the crimps, you can return to creating the leather strap.
Take one crimp and slide it over the foldover loop you made in step 4. The opening on the
crimp should face downwards (as to not be seen when you are wearing the watch).

Step 7
Once you have placed your crimp over the leather loop, find a comfortable placement for
it.
If you bring the crimp too close to the watch, it may give less flexibility to the watch
strap by pulling too tightly on the strap pin. We recommend placing it approximately 1
CM from the pin.
Use your flat pliers to grip the sides of the Crimp and gently squeeze to secure. This will
bring the sides of the crimp to meet eachother in the middle.
You can also then turn your pliers to give a gentle squeeze in the other direction if you
want to flatten the Crimp a bit more.
Step 8
Once the Crimp is secured, trim off the excess leather using your wire cutters or a sharp
scissor.
You can now trim the other end of the leather cord and attach it to the Large Jump Ring.
Cut the cord to approximately 1" beyond the Large Jump Ring.
Then, loop the leather through the ring.

Step 9
You will be repeating the motions of A) looping the leather, B) sliding the crimp on, and C)
securing the crimp on every end of the leather cord throughout the project.
Make sure that the leather is the same length as the chain before you secure the crimps,
so that the watch straps are cohesive.
Repeat the motions until you have half of your watch complete.
Step 10
Step 10: Assembling your Lobster closure and Creating a Size Guide for your
Remaining Watch Straps
Before you attach the straps to the top of your watch face, we suggest you assemble the
lobster closure and attach it to the finished side.
This way, you can use it as a precise guide for the determining the length of your
remaining straps.
Open your second Large Jump ring and slide it through the loop on your Lobster Clasp,
then close.
Hook the Lobster Clasp to the finished straps as if you are closing a bracelet.

Step 11
Attach the remaining leather cord to the top watch pin with a Crimp, following the same
methods used in Steps 7 and 8.
Then, begin to wrap the cord around your wrist to determine the length needed. This top
portion of your straps will be those that wrap around your wrist.
Step 12
You will be using this leather cord as a guide for the length of the wrapped straps, in
the same way you used the silver chain as a template for the shorter straps in steps 3 & 4.
With the watch face resting on your wrist, wrap the leather cord around your wrist in a
complete circle and then place it against the lobster clasp & large ring on the back side.
TIP: You may need a helper for this part! Sometimes it helps to have someone hold the
watch in place so you can get an accurate look at where to cut the cord.
Cut the leather cord approximately 1 inch further than the point the cord meets the Large
Jump Ring.

Step 13
Once you have determined the right fit-- keeping in mind your level of comfort
(tightness/looseness of the strap)-- cut the cord and secure it to the large jump ring using
another Crimp.
Then, you can proceed to add the remainder of the cords and chains in any order, keeping
them all the same length and joining them to both the watch pin and the Jump Ring
closure.
Step 14
Wear, Share, and Enjoy! We've shown you how to create one specific wrap watch style,
but there are many other options.
You can create a regular length watch strap instead of the wrap, simply by making both
sides equal.
Or, get super creative and try braiding the materials, adding other cords, or adding chains
to one side only.
