Dear Parents,
I am delighted to enclose for your information, a copy of the latest Local Authority
evaluation of our school. Mr Fazackerley visited school on the 4th November 2014 to
evaluate the impact of actions taken by the leadership team since the last OFSTED
visit in May.
The report makes for very positive reading and I would like to highlight the following

The success of the temporary appointment of a Deputy Head from another
school to support our work.
The successful appointments made to the teaching staff.
All teaching observed by the Local Authority has been good or better.
Differentiation and marking have improved.
Support staff are deployed effectively.
Monitoring is effective.
Significant improvements in external assessments at all key stages.
Pupil behaviour is good.
There is a relentless focus on school improvement.
Governors are proactive and know the school well.
Staff at all levels are working hard and responding well to the challenge and
support given to them.
The leadership team have a thorough knowledge of their pupils and how
teaching contributes to their progress.
It is also encouraging to note that Mr Fazackerley feels that there is a sense of
confidence, optimism and purpose in the school that is reflected in the classrooms
with good teaching and behaviour.
