Abstract:
This workshop will bring the findings and the synthesis report of the five parallel studies related to
'Technology options for feeding 10 billion people':
1.
Climate Change and agriculture; Agriculture and biodiversity
2.
Technology options for plant breeding and innovative agriculture
3.
Technology options for optimising processes in the food industry
4.
Options for cutting food waste
5.
Technology options for recycling crop and food by-products for bio-energy and bio materials
Besides the presentation of the study outcomes and a panel debate on the outcomes, a complementary
short debate on food habits, ethical aspects of food and 'food and health' is envisaged.
