We play
because:
Soccer is Fun
We develop soccer and life skills
We make new friends and meet new
families
It is great exercise
We develop pride in our community
Note from the Magnolia Soccer Club President – Scott Edwards
I have been out on the soccer fields this fall watching MSC
players have fun developing skills, referees in action, families
connecting, and coaches giving their valuable time and expertise
for the players. Our Association level teams (U10+) continue to
demonstrate positive sportsmanship as we interact with
neighboring SYSA soccer clubs.
This year, MSC has over 850 players, 83 teams, and 40
corporate sponsors - the most our club has ever had. And we
are the only club that has a MOD referee program. I am proud
and honored to be your MSC President.
There is not enough thanks to go around to all of our
volunteers - 135 coaches and only 18 coordinators/board
members. They put in countless hours for our players and the
infrastructure of our soccer club. MSC depends on their
efforts. Please find a way to express your appreciation to
them.
Without volunteers, our club would not function. Please consider
volunteering to become a coordinator or board member as we
have several open positions with several volunteers serving in
multiple capacities. Speak to a board member if you are
interested in volunteering specific skills or in contributing to
the vision of our club.
Look forward to seeing you on the pitch. Rock on!
U10-U18 City Competition
Once kids reach the U10 age they no
longer just play against Magnolia.
They play against other recreation
leagues throughout the city. More
competition and more fun!

Sponsor Update
The Magnolia Soccer Club thanks all
our sponsors for their contribution to
the continued growth of youth soccer.
Our sponsors help make it possible for
all our teams to have great uniforms.
All of our U7 and up teams have a
sponsor and you will see sponsors logo
on the kid’s jerseys all over town! The
kids love showing off their jerseys!
With the continued support of our local
businesses and supporters the Magnolia
Soccer Club is one of the leading
recreational clubs in the city. Our
sponsors provide the players with the
opportunity to have a first-class
soccer club at a low cost to our kids!
Sponsorship in the Magnolia Soccer
Club is a great way to support the
community, market your company
locally, create civic pride and keep kids
playing sports! You’ll see many sponsor
banners (provided to MSC by GM
Nameplate & Supergraphics) at various
soccer fields around Magnolia.
Interested sponsors should contact:
Ken Webert, MSC Sponsorship Director for more information:

Our Children’s Hospital Charity Boot Camp is truly a HIGHLIGHT
of each month. Every class is full of parents and kiddos laughing and
sweating and having fun in the name of fitness and health. Anyone
can come to our Charity Boot Camp, non-members, kids, friends and
significant others are welcome. Just know that the workout will be a
little more “energetic” (read: potentially a bit chaotic, but totally fun),
and it will be an effective workout for everyone.
The purpose of this workout will be family fun! We also ask that you
make a donation to Children’s Hospital at the end of each workout.
The recommended donation is $5-$10 per person (cash or check).
You do not need to sign up in advance for this class, just show up
8am on the FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH. We are
located at 1550 West Armory Way, Seattle, WA 98199. Please go to
our website for detailed driving directions.
Magnolia’s Most Popular Restaurant & Lounge – Serendipity Cafe
and Lounge combines two great dining experiences in one great
restaurant in the heart of Magnolia. Our Cafe side serves breakfast,
lunch and dinner in a warm family-friendly environment. Our new
Lounge side has quickly become Magnolia’s favorite place to meet
friends for drinks and food – 21 and over only. Whether you’re
heading downtown, here for the evening, or stopping by for a
nightcap, you’re guaranteed to see someone you know!
