and exchange.
Hand-picked, these independent dealers retain the manufacturer/artisan spirit dear to
MELJAC. Now approved by the brand, they all have a very good knowledge of the
products and can guarantee the same quality of service. Other foreign dealers are
currently in the process of obtaining approval. Within 2 years the brand will be
commercialized by 50 resellers between France and abroad where some are actually in
process of obtaining approval.
Manually immersed in different basins for a certain time, the plate gradually changes colour. Ultrasonic
bath, rinses, electrolytic degreasing, depassivation bath, matt nickel bath, cascade rinse..., all of these
actions will give the plate its definitive finish. These chemists, ten of professionals, work on this key
stage in the manufacture of MELJAC products.
After the required drying time, it is once again the turn of the polisher to take over and buff the plate.
Then, the finisher gives the final touch to the product, through a time-consuming operation consisting of
7 steps, before the product is assembled and mounted.
MELJAC offers close to 30 standard colours and makes custom shades upon request
First of all, having been machined, the plates are systematically chamfered by
hand (except for requests for straight edges), then stamped with "MELJAC" on
the back by the machinist. The inserts are then put in place using a press. Each of
the following steps are manual operations: polishing, the surface treatment for
colouring the plate, the finishes including buffing, then the finish performed by a
professional finisher. Finally, the plates are of course manually assembled by the
Assemblers before being shipped for delivery to customers.
This way, every plate is unique.
