CHILD ABUSE
AWARENESS TRAINING
Mandatory training for all staff will be held for
both day and evening classes at WVOC on Wed.,
March 16 at 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. You must
attend either of the trainings. Please dismiss class
in order to attend one of the two trainings which
are District requirements.

WEEKLY HiSET PRACTICE TEST
Wed & Thurs 11:15–2:30 pm in room 10 except for holidays
Evening testing: Check with the counseling office
Photo ID & TABE score of 9.0+ required

SUMMER SCHOOL at
WVOC & VAN NUYS
Summer School will be held this year from June 20 –
July 29. Morning and Evening ESL and academic
classes will be available. All morning classes will held
Monday through Friday, begin at 8:00 am and end no
later than 12:15 pm. Evening ESL class will held from
5:30-9:45 pm Monday through Thursday. No evening
summer classes will be held on the Reseda campus.
Due to only 29 mornings and 23 evenings of
instruction, students will need to attend daily. If a
student is absent 2 days, they will be dropped from the
class.
A limited number of CTE classes will also be
available: Accounting, Computer Operator, Cosmo
2/3, Energy Auditing, Graphic Design, HIT,
Refrigeration
Tech
Service,
Real
Estate,
Typist/Keyboarding, Video Production.
All instructors can check with the Main Office to
obtain information on summer employment.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HIRING EVENT
(New Time) Friday, March 18, 10 am-2 pm
The Sun Valley Work
Source Center will be on
campus
to
accept
applications
and
interview students for
jobs at Universal Studios. They are looking for cooks,
costume dressers, survey takers and more. Bring your
California Driver’s License/I.D. Card and Social
Security Card/Right to Work documents to the
interview.
Check the flyers on campus for more information.
CONSOLIDATED CHARITABLE
CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Initial counts are in and so far, thanks to the generosity
of our students and staff, WVOC has collected $2,650.
The campaign will be extended this week to see if we
can reach our goal to exceed $4,000.
