AquaSAFE™ Alliance membership agreement Training This document will formalize the expectations and the relationship between Uponor and a company intending to install the AquaSAFE™ residential fire sprinkler system. Contracting companies that enter into this agreement are expected to follow its terms. Uponor will not be held responsible for any liability resulting from a contractor who deviates from the terms of this agreement and reserves the right to revoke the agreement due to any such deviation. In addition to holding all necessary licenses, installing contractors are required to employ installers who have completed Uponor’s AquaSAFE Level I and Level II training programs and successfully passed the accompanying tests. Failing to employ a trained individual will result in the suspension of the company’s Alliance number until such time that the company employs a trained installer. Licensing Designs AquaSAFE installers shall obtain and maintain all state, provincial and local licenses required to install multipurpose residential fire sprinkler systems. All AquaSAFE systems installed by a contractor shall be properly designed by qualified, competent designers that hold all applicable licenses and certifications. The contractor must install the system as designed. Any jobsite input provided by a contractor for a system design and as-built documentation must be accurate and complete. Installation All AquaSAFE systems shall be installed by contractors who have a) completed Uponor’s AquaSAFE Level I and Level II training programs and b) meet all jurisdictional licensing requirements. All AquaSAFE systems shall be installed according to the standards set forth in NFPA 13D or IRC P2904 and Uponor’s training programs. The installation also must meet any additional requirements established by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). Insurance The contracting company shall maintain a $1,000,000 minimum general liability insurance policy. Contractors may only install systems properly designed by qualified and certified designers and contractors shall install the system as designed. All components of the system must have all required listings and approvals.
