"What's Your Story?" Today, our guest will be
Russell Smelley, who is a celebrated track and field
coach from Westmont College. Russell grew up in
Virginia among people whom he looked up to and
respected. He loves to hear about the lives of
people just like you. Today he will be coming and
talking with you about who you are. Here is the
description of his time with us: Everyone has a life
story. Everyone touches someone else's life. What
word or phrase would describe your life story? What
was happening in the world when you were 25 years
old? What was happening with your life story when
you were 25 years old? When you were 25 years
old, what were you most concerned with in your life?
What did you learn between 25 and 40 that you think
today's young people would benefit from hearing?
What person, thing, or event most influenced your
thinking in becoming who you are today?
Come join in the discussion! You will LOVE Russell
and enjoy the opportunity to share from your life.
For lunch today, Michele will serve Barbecue
Chicken with three kinds of sides: macaroni salad,
traditional potato salad and a lovely green salad.
Sounds like America to us!
Thursday, July 16
It's our traditional "Family Day!" This means we all
come together and instead of having a guest
speaker from the outside, we just have fun as a
group. Today, we will play a few games, tell some
jokes, celebrate birthdays, enjoy some insights and
eat a lovely lunch. For your dining pleasure,
Michele will serve stuffed salmon and grilled
summer squash. As usual, all friends are invited.
Hope to see you there!
