1. We multiply the numerator 1
times the denominator 5 diagonally
across. 1×5=5 Write 5 next to the 1.

times the denominator 3 diagonally
across. 2×3=6 Write 6 next to the 2.
3. Compare the 5 and the 6. 6 is greater
so 2/5 is bigger than 1/3.
