keep the different objects on
the table that are related to the
nature such as seeds, grains,
spices, dry foods, plants,
flowers, insects and so on. We
are looking forward to see
more addition with the help
and cooperation of the parents
as they are keep doing in the
past.
Words of Wisdom
Sometimes very small children
in a proper environment
develop a skill and exactness in
their work that can only
surprise us.

The Month in Review
We talked about all seven
continents and learned about
the people, places, flags,
animals, food, culture, religion
and music that characterize
these fascinating places.
We also have learnt the
continent songs, both in
English and Chinese. The
children love it and having
been humming all day along.
We have made a big map of the
world and hanged it up in the
classroom where the children
can see it and touch it. They
always come to the map and
talk and discuss about the
picture and outline with their
friends.
We started with Asia, as this is
the biggest continent and we
have chosen China and India to
focus on. The children learned
about the Great Wall, Panda,
Opera face painting, tea
making, clothes and the map of
China. The children learned
some Chinese characters as
well. We introduced the Europe
and chosen France, England,
and Italy to focus on. The
children learned about Eiffel
Tower, lavender, and London
Bridge, Big Ben, and the water
city of Italy that is Venice.
We introduced the sounds for
this month ‘x’, ‘y’, ‘r’, ‘e’. For
further develop their phonics
with objects and pictures.

What we’ve been doing
The kids were planting some vegetable seeds in the
garden. They are watering them every day, they have
been watching and observing the seeds germinated and
grew into a plant.
The children love to have the art class on every Tuesday,
and they enjoyed it very much. They have done some
lovely and pretty artworks.
As we know that every Wednesday is our Show and
Tell. The children are showing interested in it. They are
willing to show and tell what they bring from home
which are related to our letter of the week.
We celebrated the Thanksgiving on Thursday 28th
November, they had lunch all together with blue three
class in the lobby. The children ate turkey for lunch,
they also made a card for saying thank you to parents.
The children wore the indian suits which they prepared
and while they were having their lunch and sang an
indian song.

Field trip to Bio farm
On 14th of November, 2013 our class (Blue-1) visited the Bio farm. It was
very informative and interesting place for our kids. They learned about
how the plants grow in a big yard, feeding the farm animals and also how
to preserve the fruits and vegetable for long time after getting from the
plants. The children also brought some vegetables and fruits with getting
right from the farm by themselves; it was a great and enjoyable
experience for them.
