Ahoy TOA
Wow its 2012 and you crazy fools voted me as commodore??
Well I am very honored to be your Commodore this year and I
promise to give you my full attention. As you know our club is
made up of many different interest in the boating world, all joined together as
one big family. This unique factual point is what makes TOA one of the best
boat clubs around.
I would like to thank all the board members from the past years for their
dedication and hard work, and I am looking forward to working with this year's
new board members and committee chairs. I want to say thanks to Bob for
accepting his new responsibility of Rear Commodore, and thanks to Dave for
continuing with his next position as Vice Commodore.
We have a full year of planned events and cruise. What's neat about this year
calendar you will see TOA's traditional events and some new activities
scheduled to keep things interesting.
You probably have heard some scuttlebutt on the Proposed Key Exchanged for
2012. Your board is presently working hard with developing a execution plan to
start the exchange in March. Our tentative plan is to exchange a maximum of 2
keys per membership (providing you show your 2012 membership card) so we
can ensure everyone gets a chance to get new keys. Now if by chance you have
more keys to exchange we will address them later this spring.

Hello TOA,
I would like to thank everyone for allowing me to continue to serve on the TOA Bridge as
your Vice Commodore for 2012. I am much honored to fulfill this roll. I hope everyone had a
great holiday season. We had a fantastic kids Christmas party and adult cheers party they were
both very well attended and everyone had a good time. The Cranberry Margarita's were great and the DiVona's
did an awesome job as the bar tenders. Well, we start off the 2012 year with our winter freeze cruise which will
be chaired by Paul and Sharnel DiVona. It will be on January 27-29 at Arabella's landing in Gig harbor.
Then our next cruise will be our spring camper cruise in March. The dates for that cruise are the 23-25th. I am
looking for someone to chair that cruise if you are interested please let me know. You can send me an E-mail at

I look forward to the coming year, we have a full events calendar again this year and I hope all of you can make
a least a few of the planned events.

Hello TOA
I hope everyone’s holidays were as fun as mine. WOW! 2011 is past and 2012 is here.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve TOA as your Rear Commodore. The "Western" Freeze
cruise is at Arabella's Landing on January27th thru 29th and hosted by none other than Paul
and Sharnel Di Vona. Come on down for a fun time. There lots of fun cruises and events
coming up this year. Lets get your boats ready and lets cruise.
Cruising season will be here before you know it. Take some time now to check out your boats safety equipment
like flares, life jackets, first aid kits and fire extinguishers to name a few. Lets have lots of fun this year and a
safe boating season. Winter is upon us, take special care when crossing the bridge to TOA. It gets frosty and
very slick. Think and drive safely.
What kinds of topics would you like to see or hear at the meetings this year? If you have something in mind,

I would just like to take a minute to thank you for electing me as your 2012 Social Director. I am looking
forward to a fun filled year of events.
The kids Christmas party was a big success 63 children showed for breakfast with Santa. A special thank you to
Santa, for coming all the way from the North Pole to have breakfast with TOA. We would also like to thank
everyone who brought a treat to share. It's this kind of sharing that makes TOA so special. Again thank you!
2012 is here already and we are ready to have lots of TOA fun! Be sure and mark your calendar for the
upcoming TOA events.
The TOA Western Freeze Cruise is scheduled for January 27th-29th, 2012@Arabella's
The Commodore's Ball is scheduled for February 4th 2012, Honoring Dave Dolhar and his first Mate Roberta. I

The Crab Feed is scheduled for February 18th2012 Molly Larsen has volunteered to chair this event.

We also have the Kids Easter, Halloween and Christmas parties as well as Bunco, Adult Halloween Party and a

First I want to thank everyone for putting there trust in me for your 2012 Membership Director. I will do my
very best to support TOA this upcoming year. I love this club! Please help me in welcoming Roger & Karen
Chapman to TOA and a big welcome to all who joined us recently. Please join us on our cruises, you will be
hooked forever. More people should get involved because those of you who don't are really missing out. I know
we all joined because of the boat ramp... But there are so many other things to do, and great people.
