inspired by your support. Your child is just wonderful! Each and

Skills this week
In Reading our theme this week is American
Dreams. The Mystery of the Box in the Wall. We
will read the poem “Working on the
Transcontinental Railroad, 1869” and the
Biography of Samuel Goldwyn: Picture This… The
comprehension strategy is make connections.
We will learn about how to use punctuation to
inform meaning and gain precise listening. We
will review consonants in spelling. In writing we
will continue to Generate Ideas and look at the
Organizational Pattern of a Main Idea and
Details. In Grammar we will identify Simple
Compound Sentences and Simple Compound
Subjects Predicates.
In Math we are naming and constructing
Geometric Figures.
