typical for us this is not normal.
For 62 hours I have pleaded,
begged, and yelled out to God that
enough was enough, what more,
what else could we give? We are

Sing For Joy –
Prayers Are
Answered
Down Came The
Cottonwood Trees
Pastor Konah took this picture standing on top of one of the three cottonwood trees that were cut down
December 21st. You all have been in prayer to the Father, with Pastor Miaway’s community, to bring down
those sacrificial trees and make room for the Body of Christ to build His Church. The outpouring from the
Spiritual Warfare conference continues. Prayers are being answered, lives are being transformed remember here
is where the chief devil’s wife became a Christian and joined Miaway’s Church. She was threatened with death,
divorce and would be severely beaten and warned against attending church. She stood in Christ. In July 2016,
the community was in preparation to use the forest for initiation of young boys and girls into devil’s the society
in the coming month of September 2016. Part of the preparations entails the devil putting on his regalia and
bird mask and using a path dedicated to him. The church is a few meters from this path. The devil was lacking
peace with his preparation rituals when he came near the church. The whole community with reinforcements
from neighboring communities turned their intensified fight against the church. The church was ordered to
shorten its Sunday services to 9:00 am - 11:00 am, to stop having midweek prayers and choir practice. The
church retorted to a forty days prayers and fasting and many of you joined with them. After the fasting and
prayers, an argument rose among those in charge of the preparation of the ritual and the initiation was
relocated two hours away! This saved boys and girls from Miaway’s community from persecution of forceful
initiation or ridicule that comes with absconding. The power of God convicted the chief devil. He came to
church, apologized, converted and received Jesus as his Lord and Savior! He changed his name from Saye
Larbo (devil) to Saye Larmbo (saint). (This article was written by Fredrick Kimani)
Your prayers were heard, answered, and some day you will meet that converted family or one of the children
who were saved from the dark world battle. Thank you for making a difference in Liberia.

Above and Beyond – The C&MA Family
There simply is not enough room in this newsletter to thank the Father for His goodness, His amazing grace,
and the way He brings peace in chaotic times. When Gina found herself alone in the French speaking city of
Dakar Senegal, friends in Indiana reached out through phone calls and emails to their friends in Senegal and
immediately Gina was contacted by missionaries in Dakar offering to help. Two mission families, the Walker’s
and the Stombaugh’s, with The Christian and Missionary Alliance (www.cmallilance.org), embraced Travis
and Gina and went out of their way to help the Sheets. Stan Walker (pictured in the white shirt below) and Al
Stombaug (in the orange shirt) spent three hours at the hospital with Gina, brought her laundry soap, then upon
Trav’s release from the hospital arranged and transported the Sheets to a guest house ran by New Tribes
Mission. They checked in on the Sheets, took them to Sunday lunch and ice cream, they visited with them,
made taxi arrangements to the airport, and continued to assist the Sheets upon their return to the USA with
medicine needs. This was a GOD size answer to prayer and a testimony of people who love the Lord and live
out their faith by helping those in need.
Thank you to C&MA and New Tribes Mission.
Thank you to the Walker and Stombaugh
family, read more about them at the C&MA
