AARP Safe Driving Course
9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 28
Participants will be updated on current rules of the road and
safety tips. The cost of the program is $20 ($15 for AARP

This free, interactive session will focus on aging and the
benefits of regular exercise and changing nutrition needs as we
age. Speakers will include Anita Marlay, R.D., L.D., and Jody

Participants may take advantage of free blood pressure, vision,
body fat analysis and body mass index screenings, as well as
free pulmonary function tests. Also available are take-home
colorectal cancer screening kits. In addition, some screenings

Lymphedema 101
10th Annual Fun Run/Walk
10 a.m. - noon the second and fourth Wednesday of each month
in the Cardiac Rehab Conference Room, second floor. This
program educates patients and their families about what to
expect before, during and after joint replacment surgery. For

7-10 a.m. Saturday, May 6
Registration begins at 7 a.m. in Parking Lot A. The 5K run
begins at 8 a.m., followed immediately by a fun walk on the
hospital campus. The registration fee is $30. All paid participants registered by April 14 are guaranteed to receive a techstyle T-shirt. Show your heart and DRESS IN RED! The most
spirited outfit will win a prize. A $5 all-you-can-eat pancake
breakfast will be served at the event. Children 5 and under
eat free, and breakfast is free to all paid run/walk participants.

Overactive Bladder: Take Control
10 a.m. Thursday, May 11
Urologist Bradley Connett, M.D., will present on causes of
incontinence; surgical and nonsurgical treatments; and new
treatments, including Urgent® PC Neuromodulation. Lake
Regional Physical Therapist Colleen Cueni-Smith will present
on physical therapy treatments. Registration required.
11:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of every other month, starting in
February, in the Lake Regional Cancer Resource Center. This
is a one-hour course offered for patients who may be at the
risk for developing lymphedema related to surgery or cancer

Alzheimer’s Support Group

Amazing MOMS Take Five
10 a.m. first Wednesday of each month at My Playhouse Indoor
Cafe. Facilitated by a certified lactation consultant, Amazing
MOMS Take Five is a great way to interact with other mothers
and breastfeeding babies in the lake area. Stop by with your
baby to track weights, address questions or concerns, and share

Better Breathers
For indivduals with lung disease, such as COPD

Cancer Support Group for Men

Cancer Center. This is a lunch and share meeting;

Noon the fourth Thursday of every other month, starting in
January, in Conference Room D. If you or a loved one has
been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome,

Look Good...Feel Better
For women undergoing cancer treatment
9:30 a.m. the last Wednesday of each month in the Cancer
Center. This free workshop is provided by the American Cancer
Society. Women learn beauty techniques for skin care, makeup
application and coping with hair loss. Participants are able to
attend once during their cancer treatment. Call 573-302-2772

Lymphedema: You Are Not Alone
For individuals who have lymphedema
Participants benefit from peer interaction, emotional support
and education about various treatments and management
strategies. Lake Regional occupational therapists Katie Kelley
and Danielle Baumgartner facilitate the group.
