TAKE NOTICE that the Litchfield Council (‘‘the
Council’’) intends to exercise its power of sale
over that land described as Lot 5 Hundred of
Cavenagh being the whole of the land
contained in Certificate of Title Volume 015
Folio 058 situated at 280 Old Bynoe Rd,
Livingstone (‘the Land’’) for non-payment of
rates.
FURTHER TAKE NOTICE in respect of the
Land that:
● rates have been in arrears for the period
from 1 July 1993 until the date of this
notice; and
● the total amount currently outstanding on
the Land is $36,463.02 being made up
of:
o un-paid rates charged in the amount
of $14,211.00;
o accrued interest in the amount of
$19,652.62; and
o legal costs and disbursements
reasonably incurred in the recovery
of the above in the amount of
$2,599.40
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that if the total
amount outstanding plus all other money that
is a charge on the land together with all costs
relating to the registration of the Overriding
Statutory Charge and to the proposed sale of
the Land is not paid in full within one (1) month
from the date of this notice the Council will;
● sell the Land by Public Auction and apply
the proceeds of such sale in the payment
of costs incurred in the sale of the Land
and in the payment of all liabilities
secured on the Land; and
● exercise all or any of the other powers
conferred upon it, including but not
limited to those conferred by the Local
Government Act.
