To do this, go to your RefWorks account, and from here go to Bibliography and choose Output Style Editor. This is the Output Style Editor window. Open the Style drop down menu and select the style you wish to edit. I’ll choose Imperial College Vancouver. You will need to save a new version of the style to edit it. To do this click the ‘Save As’ button and give the new style a name. I’ll call mine ‘Imperial College - Vancouver Superscript’. Click ‘Save’ to create a new version of the style. To edit the new style so that your citations appear as Superscript click the ‘Edit’ button and choose the ‘In-Text Citations’ tab. Open the ‘Citations Settings’ menu and tick the box next to ‘Superscript’. Now save your changes by clicking the ‘Save’ button. Back in your Word document click the ‘Sync my Database’ button to sync Write-N-Cite with the changes you have made to your RefWorks account. This process can take a few seconds. Now open the Style menu, choose Select Other Style and here you will see the ‘Imperial College Vancouver Superscript’ style. Select it and click ‘Save’. Your citations will now appear as superscript.
