Homework Year 3

Year Three Communication and Homework for Week 8 Term One 2017
Hi Parents and Caregivers. YAY!!! I have finally mastered our new staff emailing system!! This week will be very busy with a lot on. I will be away on
Professional Development with Mr Allen, Mrs Sheen and Mrs Tait on Thursday 23 March and Friday 24 March. Parent interview notes are going out
today and if possible, could I please have them in by next Wednesday 22 March so I am able to allocate times and send out confirmation notes.
Next week we also have our Faction Swimming Carnival. Please make sure students have plenty of water, a towel, hat and lunch (if not ordered
through P&F). There will be plenty of sunscreen and shade for students. If you are able to help the P&F on the day, could you please let me know
ASAP. It’s going to be a great day. On Tuesday, we are celebrating Harmony day – ‘Everyone Belongs’. Thanks to those parents who are helping with
kite making at 11am. Have a Fantastic week everyone!

Be friendly
Introduce yourself to someone at school that you do not
already know.
Design a poster
On a piece of cardboard design a poster by drawing/painting

poster is to promote healthy activities- you choose what you
want to focus on (e.g., eating healthy, exercise, staying safe
etc.).
Try a new food
Try a new fruit or vegetable that you have never tasted
before. What did it look like? How did it feel? How did it
taste? Was it crunchy or soft?
Create your own exercise routine
Make up your own fun exercise routine. You will then have
to show the class your routine. See Mrs P. if you need music.
Visit one of the websites listed on the
website
Use a computer to visit a sports website and find some
information relating to a sport you play or like to follow.
Write down (or type in a word document if you are able),
what you liked best about that sport and something that
you learned that you didn’t already know.
Help an adult
Help an adult around the house with a job. E.g., help mum
set the table, help dad mow the lawn, help a grandparent,
etc.
Express yourself
Draw or paint a picture of something that makes you feel
happy. Why does it make you happy?
Teach an adult
Teach an adult that you know about something that you
were taught at school or something that you have learned
from one of the interactive websites you visited.
