Cruise & Canoe
Dawn Cruise (approx 2 hrs)
See the morning mist rising and hear the sounds of wildlife stirring as
the gorges awaken. Enjoy a hot tea or coffee and light snack before
cruising through the first two gorges in the river system.
Departs: Daily 7:00am Tour available (1st May-31st October)

NitNit Dreaming 2 Gorge Cruise (approx 2hrs)
Discover the cultural significance of the first two gorges to the traditional landowners of Nitmiluk, the Jawoyn People. Be
enlightened by the history and traditions of the Indigenous inhabitants as you learn how their stories and beliefs are not only
woven into the landscape, but also the way this rugged land is an integral part of their society and family structure.
Departs: Daily 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 3:00pm (1st April - 31st October); 9:00am, 2:00pm(1st November - 31st March).

Timeless Land 3 Gorge Cruise (approx 4 hrs)
Explore further into the wonders of the incredible Nitmiluk Gorge system with a three gorge cruise. Enjoy a relaxing swim
surrounded by the immense sandstone walls. Refreshments provided. Some additional walking may be required to access swim
sites depending on the time of year.
Departs: Daily 9:00am (1st April - 31st October). Additional 1:00pm departure available June, July, August.

Nitmiluk Canoeing
(dry season only, river level permitting)
Self-guided canoeing in this environment can be as relaxing or challenging
as you choose, but always rewarding for those who want to experience the
mystery and beauty of Nitmiluk Gorge.
Half Day Canoe Leisure Hire *
Departs: Daily 8:00am (12:00pm return) and 12:30pm (4:30pm return)
Double Canoe: $41.50pp Single Canoe: $57.00pp
Half Day canoeist are only permitted in the First Gorge.
Full Day Canoe Leisure Hire *
Departs: Daily 8:00am to 4:00pm
Double Canoe: $61.00pp Single Canoe: $77.50pp
Full Day canoeists are required to carry their canoes should
they wish to go further than the 2nd gorge.
Overnight Under the Stars Canoe Hire **
Departs: Daily 8:00am with 4:00pm return following day. A high level of physical
fitness is required to participate.
Double Canoe: $83.00pp Single Canoe: $140.00pp
*$50.00 refundable cash deposit required per canoe for full or half day hire. **$60.00 deposit per canoe for overnight hire.
Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 5 not permitted in canoes. Overnight Canoe Hire

Signature Experiences
Nabilil Dreaming Sunset Dinner Cruise
This once-in-a-lifetime dining experience is one not to be missed.
Explore the spectacular beauty of the first two gorges as the setting
sun turns the towering sandstone cliffs glorious shades of ochre.
Enjoy this unique moment with a complimentary glass of sparkling
wine and a delicious three course candle lit meal served on-board
under a starry night sky.
Departs: 4:30pm (1st May - 31st October). Tour operates daily in June,
July, August; and 5 days a week in May, September and October. Tour
duration approximately 3.5 hours.

will be in tables of up to 6 persons.
Nitmiluk Cultural Safaris
Journey along the river, taking in the majestic sandstone walls
extending more than 70m high. Visit spectacular scenic sites along
the gorge system with commentary at each location from your
personal cultural guide's perspective. Take part in an interactive
cultural presentation at one of Nitmiluk's exclusive Rock Art sites
where you will learn the traditions and customs of the Jawoyn
People.
Safari Tours cater to a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 people.
All Tours include a swim opportunity.

This option extends your flight an additional 15 minutes and includes a remote landing for a photo

Adventure Swim (allow 2 hours)
Fly over all 13 Gorges then continue via the Katherine River into the rugged rock country of
Nitmiluk National Park. Discover one of the most remote and beautiful waterfall swim sites in
Australia. Enjoy a swim at this pristine wilderness rock pool, which is yours exclusively.

Jawoyn Rock Art (allow 2 hours)

Embrace the spirit of Nitmiluk as you fly back into the Dreamtime to an authentic Indigenous
art site. Landing beneath rock escarpments at your first out-of-the-way site you will feel a deep
connection to the land, its history and the traditional landowners - the Jawoyn People, as your
pilot/guide explains the rock art to you. Swimming at your very own pristine watrfall at the next
landing site is a highlight on this trip, the rock pool is exclusively yours, guaranteed!

Turn back the clock as you depart the Nitmiluk helipad. Fly deep into the heart of the Dreamtime
to an amazing Jawoyn art site. Enjoy a dip in a nearby rockhole, before flying back over the rugged

Our permanent tents are located within the Nitmiluk Campground, a short walk from the Pool and amenities block, in a shady,
fully fenced area. The tents are unpowered, dressed with fresh linen, clean and comfortable. Package includes a dinner voucher
(chefs special) at Jatti Poolside Bistro, drink voucher and a pancake breakfast.

Cicada Lodge
Cicada Lodge is designed for the sophisticated traveller looking for an authentic Indigenous

Getting to Nitmiluk
Nitmiluk Gorge is 29km from Katherine town centre. Katherine is approximately 310km from Darwin on the Stuart Highway.
There are regular bus services from Darwin to Katherine and the Ghan is a spectacular rail alternative. Chartered fixed wing
or helicopter transfer options can be arranged.
