REAL LIFE CHURCH JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Custodial and Facilities Support Department: Building and Grounds Reports To: Custodial and Facilities Manager FLSA Status: NonExempt Date: November 2016 SUMMARY OF PURPOSE OF JOB : Performs and completes a wide range of standard custodial activities, procedures, or special projects at any campus or of ice of Real Life Church and assists in event management. Other duties may be assigned. ● Vacuums, sweeps and mops all floors and areas of building ● Washes building windows both inside and outside ● Cleans restrooms including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and countertops ● Gathers, manages and disposes of trash throughout areas of buildings ● Maintains outside spaces by disposing of debris and trash, scrubbing stains in concrete and other cleaning tasks as needed ● Dusts all areas of building and offices where reachable and available ● Completes special projects to include but not limited to: cleaning air conditioning air ducts, baseboards and thresholds, communion trays, trash bin areas, trash receptacles, outside dusting, or auditorium deep cleaning ● Supports storage space management and supply management ● Assists in Events and Meetings with setup and reset of chairs, tables, furniture or pipe and drape assemblies SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not supervise others. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE ● High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred ● Some experience in custodial activities and processes using standard tools such as vacuums, mops, towels, brooms, cleaning agents and miscellaneous cleaning tools preferred. ● Ability to speak a second language, Spanish, is preferred ● Ability to use Microsoft Outlook or equivalent ● Valid California driver’s license LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 2 REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required for this position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to move about inside or outside. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to use hands/fingers to operate, repair, and clean equipment and facilities. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
