How to use the Ffrees Money Manager Jam Jar facility to keep
on top of your Finances
1. Jam Jars are online jam jars where you keep money
separate to pay essential bills or for special events. It
means that you don’t spend it on everyday things
with your Ffrees Card, and so don’t get in a pickle
and bills don’t mount up
2. You can set up Jam Jars for what purposes you
choose and allocate money to each from your Ffrees
Account each month or week
3. You can arrange for the bills to be paid direct from
the Jam Jar regularly
4. It means that the money left in your Ffrees Account
is available to spend on everyday things, and you
don’t overspend and leave your bills unpaid
5. You can add extra money to a Jam Jar or transfer
money back to your Ffrees Account
Step by step guide to getting started

of your account management screen there are three

how much money will be paid into your Ffrees Account
each month, the other calculates your bills.

for bills.

Step 3: Set up your outgoings

your outgoings in the same way as your income. For
each relevant expenditure, click ‘Manage’, then:
1. Give each Jam Jar a name to remind you
what the funds are for (each of these ‘bills
to pay’ is a Jam Jar), for example:
‘Council Tax’.
2. Enter the amount
you pay each month
3. Choose a priority
(1 being the most important)
4. Let us know what date this bill is paid out
5. You can then save and choose how to pay
your bill from one of the options below.
The bills table will calculate your total
outgoings and will set your money aside. You can then
see how much money you have left over to spend on top
of your bills.

of your Jam Jars, once a month
