This weekend, our parish will take up The Catholic Relief
Services Collection. This Collection supports six Catholic
agencies that touch more than 100 million lives around
the world. The funds from the Collection help provide
food to the hungry, welcome and support to displaced
refugees, and invaluable life skills to those seeking a
better life. How will you help? This weekend, please give
generously to The Catholic Relief Services Collection and
Jesus in disguise. Envelopes are provided in the pews.

The Prevalence of Abuse in society
In surveys of adults, one out of five
women and one out of ten men reported
that they were sexually molested before
they were 18 years old. This means that
an estimated 40 million adult survivors
of child sexual abuse are living in the
United States today. An estimated 9.6%
of all school children will be molested
by an educator or an employee of a
school between kindergarten and 12th
grade. Between 13 and 34% of all females will be victims of
sexual assault before the age of 18, and 7 to 16% of all males
will also be victimized before they are 18. For more information about child safety programs in the Archdiocese, please

DEANERY NIGHT OF DISCERNMENT FOR
YOUNG ADULTS
All of us, especially young adults, live with one foot in the secular world and the other in the church. The big question which
challenges all of us is: how do I live out my discipleship of Jesus in this world? The daily demands that life places upon each
of us make us aware of precisely how precious our time is so
we wonder how and where do I find the time or place to answer
that question. Throughout our deanery (which is a cluster of
neighboring parishes in our region) we will be holding a night
of spiritual development for young single adults, men and
women, 18 years of age or more. It will be an opportunity to
come together once a month and discern with others the question about our discipleship in Jesus Christ. You are invited to
attend the next meeting for our deanery.
