Load the media. Select the correct User Type on the printer display. If the User Type is not yet set or available, please follow the instructions how to set up a new User Type. The machine will scan the available width and position of the media. On the machine click Menu > Menu > Right Arrow button > Enter. Click the Up or Down arrow to select the correct User Type again and click Enter. Click Down Arrow two times until you see 7>3: PF Adjust> Click Right Arrow and you will see PF1: Initial Print Click Enter and you will see FeedLength: 250mm Use the Up or Down Arrow button until you have a FeedLength value of 500mm and click Enter. The machine warm up and print 2 thin lines on the right side of the media approximately 500mm apart. Do not skip the warm up process! Measure the EXACT distance between the 2 lines with a tolerance of 0.1mm On the machine click Menu > Right Arrow button > Enter. Click the Up or Down Arrow to select the correct User Type again and click Enter. Click Down Arrow two times until you see 7>3: PF Adjust> Click Right Arrow and you will see PF1: Initial Print Click Down Arrow until you see PF2: Initial Change and click Enter You will now see Init.: 500.0/500mm in your display Use the U or Down Arrow button, until the left value matches exactly the value you have measured between the 2 lines and click Enter to confirm. Click the Down Arrow one time until you see PF3: Confirm Print and click Enter The display should now show FeedLength: 500mm. If not use the Up or Down Arrow button until the value shows 500mm and click Enter The machine will again warm up and print 2 thin lines on the right side of the media approximately 500mm apart. Do not skip the warm up process! Measure the EXACT distance between the 2 lines with a tolerance of 0.1mm and it should be exactly 500mm. a. If your print is still smaller than 500mm (for example 0.2mm smaller) subtract 0.2mm from the corrected value entered before. b. If your print is now longer than 500mm (for example 0.3mm longer) add 0.3mm to the corrected value entered before. c. Verify the Confirmation Print until the gap between the lines is accurate within 0.1mm from 500mm length. Once satisfied, in the 7>3: PF Adjust menu click the Up or Down Arrow button until you see PF4: Micro Print and click Enter. Do not skip the warm up process! Once the machine finishes printing, open the cover and look for the pattern that has NO white line or a dark line visible between the upper and lower part of the pattern. Take the corresponding value and enter this in the machine display, using the Up or Down Arrow button. Confirm with Enter and click Menu to go back to the main menu as you have now performed the PF Adjustment. Verify the PF Adjustment is Satisfactory Open FlexiSign & Print ● ● In FlexiSign & Print, create a TrafficJet Spot6 Black square of 500 x 500mm. Click File > RIP and Print Instructional Bulletin #1.00 TrafficJet™ PF Adjustment Page 1 of 2 reflectives.averydennison.com Open Production Manager ● ● ● ● ● Double click the file in the Hold queue Pick the correct Preset and verify if the size is still 500 x 500mm in the settings. Click the Send button The printer will now start printing the 500 x 500mm TrafficJet Spot6 Black square. Do not skip the warm up process! Once finished, measure the length of the square and this should be exactly 500mm. If the length of this square in not 500mm, please make the proper corrections until it is. TIP! ● ● ● Always perform the PF Adjustment over a length of 500mm as this is most accurate. Record the exact values per User Type as there are cases where the printer loses the corrected values. After doing one or more PF Adjustments, Power Off the machine and unplug the main cable. Press the Power Button several times until the machine is fully discharged to force the machine to save the PF values in it’s memory.
