AN ORDINANCE BY COUNCILMEMBER HOWARD SHOOK AS SUBSITUTED BY
FINANCE/EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER TO
AMEND THE FY2017 CAPITAL FINANCE FUND TO ANTICIPATE AND APPROPRIATE IN A
PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF NOT TO EXCEED EIGHT MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR
THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO DOLLARS AND SIXTY-FIVE CENTS ($8,734,762.65)
TO THE PROJECT AND GRANTS: PROJECT NUMBER 24112679 (MOTOROLA P-25 UPGRADE) IN
ORDER TO FUND ALL CONTRACTED WORK FOR THE MOTOROLA P-25 RADIO SYSTEM
UPGRADES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Atlanta, Georgia adopted resolution 16-R-4692 on December 5, 2016
and approved December 14, 2016, which authorized the City’s Department of Finance and Department
of Information Technology to finance the Upgrades by entering into Property Schedule No. 2 for a term
of not to exceed five (5) years, in a principal amount of not to exceed Eight Million Seven Hundred
Thirty-Four Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents ($8,734,762.65), and an
interest rate of not to exceed One Point Seven Three Five Percent (1.735%); and
WHEREAS, the loan proceeds are to be anticipated and appropriated to PnG project number 24112679
in an amount not to exceed Eight Million Seven Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand Seven Hundred SixtyTwo Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents ($8,734,762.65); and
WHEREAS, these loan proceeds need to be anticipated and appropriated in the proper fund account and
cost center;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATLANTA, GEORGIA, HEREBY
ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the Chief Financial Officer is hereby authorized to Amend The FY2017 Capital
Finance Fund to Anticipate and Appropriate from within Fund 3503 in an principal amount not to
exceed Eight Million Seven Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars and
Sixty-Five Cents ($8,734,762.65) to the PnG project number 24112679 (Motorola P-25 Upgrade) as
follows:
