fuel efficiency. The cleverly engineered Alto delivers fuel economy of just 4.8 litres
per 100 km, from a new generation one litre, 3-cylinder engine, making it the
most fuel-efficient dedicated petrol five door car in New Zealand.* With compact
dimensions and intelligent engineering, Alto emits just 113 grams of CO2 every
kilometre, less than half the emission level of many cars on New Zealand’s roads
and in keeping with Suzuki’s aim to have the lowest emissions in the world.

Re-use, recycle, recover
Alto surpasses the exacting European recyclability standards with an 85 per cent
recyclability rating and a 95% recoverability rate. This is achieved through longstanding Suzuki initiatives such as the use of non-toxic components, removal and
recovery of major parts, and the reuse of metals, glass, fluids, tyres and lubricants.
It all adds up to Alto simply being an environmentally friendlier choice.

Suzuki engineers have achieved a body design that

tyres made from a special rubber compound that

Alto’s intelligently-designed TECT safety cell, built
to retain its integrity even in severe accidents,
helped earn its four star ANCAP safety rating.
ESP® supplements the Alto’s inherent stability with three major functions:
Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD),
traction control and stability control. Various sensors determine and hold the
intended cornering line, greatly increasing traction and stability control while
reducing front and rear wheel-slip for enhanced safety.
