Museum of Western Art – This museum showcases rotating collections of
the nation’s most distinguished living
artists who follow in the tradition of Remington and
Russell, in celebrating the memories of the Old West.
Kids of all ages enjoy the new interactive Journey
West Children’s Gallery, where they can easily imagine themselves reliving the history of the settlers who
journeyed west. Located in the Museum of Western

Hill Country Museum – Located in the restored Victorian
mansion of pioneer Capt. Charles Schreiner and
beautifully furnished with antiques, the museum portrays
the affluent life in the Hill Country’s early days. 226 Earl

Kerr Arts & Cultural Center – Located in the heart of
downtown Kerrville, KACC represents more than 600
members whose art includes photography, painting,
quilts, ceramics, woodwork, basketry, jewelry and much

Live Theatre, Music, Dance & Arts – Symphony of
the Hills, Playhouse 2000, Hill Country Arts
Foundation, and the Kerrville Performing Arts Society
all provide entertaining year-round concerts and productions. In summer, the riverside setting of the
Smith-Ritch Point Theatre’s outdoor amphitheater

Kerrville Folk Festival – Eighteen
great days of musical events, starting
the Thursday before Memorial Day at
the outdoor theatre at Quiet Valley Ranch. Camping,

Kerr County Fair – The annual Kerr County Fair
provides the residents of Kerr County and adjacent
counties an opportunity to exhibit their finished works
and recognizes their achievements. Livestock
exhibits, food & drink, music, dancing, team roping
and the exciting bull and barrel contest. Chili and
barbeque cook-offs (CASI & CTBA sanctioned),
petting zoo and pony rides. Held in October at the
Hill Country Youth Exhibit Center, 3705 Hwy. 27 East.

The Kerrville Senior Games - An Olympic-style
event for ages 50+, held annually in the spring.
Athletic, recreational and social events including
swimming, biking, basketball, bowling, golf, bridge
and domino tournaments, dancing,

Kerrville Wine & Music Festival – Labor Day Weekend. A three-day condensed version of the internationally famous 18-day Folk Festival. Wine-tasting, crafts,

Texas Heritage Living History Day – Interactive
educational program that teaches the varied cultures
of Texas through music
and story telling. Held
each fall on the campus of
Schreiner University.

Visit the headquarters of this
nationally acclaimed craftsman of gold and silver jewelry. Located 31⁄2 miles north of

Hill Country Shooting Sports Center – A full service
range just outside of Kerrville. An official United States
Olympic Training Site for the U.S. Olympic and National
Shooting teams. Clubhouse and pro-shop. 1886

Stonehenge II – A very unusual structure built to
replicate the original Stonehenge in England. The
scale replica of Stonehenge shares the land with Easter Island type statues. Visitors can park along the road
and walk among these amazing works by taking FM
1340 west from Hunt, toward Mo-Ranch.
