Our goal is to make open spaces that allow people to have fun, get active, and be social, improving the overall wellbeing of our community. After 15 years of operation, and more than a million visitors; The Strand Waterpark is undergoing a fit-for-purpose renewal. This will provide a safe, maintainable and contemporary water attraction for residents and visitors. To allow for renewal works the waterpark will be closed to the public from 11 April, and subject to unexpected delays and weather, will reopen late 2016. What changes will be included in the renewal project? What is the estimated cost of the project? The project will renew waterpark play equipment, softfall and surrounding landscape, while considering safety, shade, drainage and connectivity to The Strand.
