OTHER SPORTS
We had great coaches and an
inspiring environment for several
other sports too.
Hockey: was led by Bashir Ali Sheikh,
an Olympian who had played with the
likes of Sayed Mohammad Jaffer
Shah (1932 and 1936 summer
Olympics) and the global hockey
sensation, Dhyanchand. He was a
part of the Indian contingent to the
Melbourne Olympics. He was
followed by Hunter Boyd (Scottish
I n t e r n a t i o n a l ) a n d AV K a l e b
(Beighton Cup and hopeful for the
Indian Olympic team).
Tennis: We used to have a staff tennis
court between the Chestnut (later
Martyn House) and Tata houses
where we would host exhibition
matches with players from the All26
