COLLECTION INSTRUCTIONS
Your collection must be booked with the office: Email [email protected] or Call 01784 488519 with your
BB Reference number to book your collection and number of boxes / items that we are to collect. We will require a
minimum of 48 hours’ notice when booking collections. Our delivery & collection services are all subject to availability so if
you need a certain day then we would recommend that you give us as much notice as possible. Some of our collections
outside London are carried out by couriers and it’s not possible to advise the collection time but they can be as early as
8am we recommend that all your boxes and/or bags and suitcases are packed the day prior to collection, they are
all correctly labelled and your paperwork should then be either emailed to our offices or securely attached to one of the
items, Please DO NOT hand loose paperwork to a courier. Should the goods or paperwork not be ready at time of
collection the driver may not be able to wait and you may be charged to return. If you need to cancel or postpone your
collection please note that we do require 48 hours’ notice, if your collection is for a Monday then please inform us of any
cancellation or postponement by 3pm on the Friday before.

Please have all paperwork required completed at the time of Collection. If you have any questions regarding any
elements of the paperwork then visit our website at www.baggageboys.co.uk where guidance is provided.
Paperwork must be submitted in a timely fashion, any paperwork received later than 7 days after the date of collection
may be subject to a further administration fee and storage charge for your goods. Please provide full addresses at
destination whatever the service. We also require a destination telephone number and contact e-mail addresses.
If you are placing your goods into storage and you do not know the final destination address simply write “Storage” as the
destination address, final address can be provided at a later date.
LABELLING






Please make sure after boxes are packed and
sealed with Tape and you complete your
information on the side of the Box with:
Port / Airport of entry
Name and Full Address of Recipient
BB Reference Number
Number of Items (e.g. 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4)
It is recommended that if you are sending a bag
or a suitcase ensure your address is on both the
inside & outside of the bag or suitcase.
INSURANCE
If insurance is required then please ensure you select the appropriate cover on the Baggage Boys Contract and ensure
that the inventory clearly states the value of each box. If you declare a one off value for all boxes then insurance is
assumed that each both is worth equal amounts. For example, if you have 5 boxes and you insure for £1000.00 total then
it’s assumed each box would be worth £200.00

CONSIGNING YOUR SHIPMENT
As the goods you are shipping are personal effects then they are personal to you. Therefore you should be shown as
both the sender and the receiver. If you are not going to be present at destination then in some countries you may ask
someone to receive the goods on your behalf. If you do then the person you nominate must be aware that they are acting
on your behalf, you must provide a nomination letter and provide their full contact details to us on your documentation.
We would ask you to note that we always recommend that you are present in the country of destination at time of import,
any charges or fines as a result of you not being there will be for your account and charged by our local agent prior to
delivery of the goods. You cannot consign to a third party if your goods are shipping to Canada, India, South Africa, and
USA or anywhere in South America.
RESTRICTIONS
We cannot accept any of the following for transport :- aerosols, batteries, explosives, corrosives, firearms (Inc. imitation) &
ammunitions, radioactive materials, perfumes, nail varnish & polish unpressurised containers, paints, fuels, weapons &
perishable food stuffs. If you are unsure about anything then please refer to the download form.
WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
For Health & Safety Regulations please ensure your do not pack your cartons to heavy, Maximum weight 30kgs The
boxes we supply are good, strong shipping boxes but overloading may invalidate any insurance cover that you may
purchase. If your boxes are too heavy the driver may refuse to collect them and you will have to re-pack them and we’ll
have to return another day to collect at an additional charge. If the driver collects the boxes and they are overweight, you
will be charged at £2.00 per Kg for every Kilo you are over the 30Kg limit.
