Write a different ending (1 page) to your story. This should change what happened in the last chapter of the book. Create a comic strip to highlight the important events in the book. Include interesting details about the book that would make other people want to read it. Develop a soundtrack to accompany your novel. It must include 5 songs and have a paragraph for each song (5 total) to explain why you chose each song. Draw and label a map of the setting (or settings) of your book. Describe the setting and how it affected the story. 7. 8. 9. Create a bag of 4 artifacts that show significant aspects of the novel. Use small objects or pictures that relate the most important ideas of the novel. Place items in a baggie and include an explanation of each artifact on an index card Make an illustrated time line sequencing 10 important events that happened in the book. The 10 events should be important events that helped move the plot move forward. Give an explanation of each event. Write a 1-page letter to the author telling him/her why you liked the book or why you didn‛t like the book. Give 3 valid reasons for your opinion with text evidence for support. Include what you think should have been done differently in the story, or how the author could have written it differently. All assignments must reflect the time and attention to details that each box requires. Sloppy or incomplete work will not be graded. It is a decisive moment or a turning point in a storyline. The climax is the point at which a conflict or crisis reaches its peak. climax.
