Honorary Inductions for #gamechangers
Global Shabbat 2016
We gather here today to celebrate you and call out to every Jewish teen worldwide. Here’s to the creators, innovators
and debaters. The mentors, the mensches and motivators – the volunteers and the visionaries. We stand together
because we recognize that winning isn’t something on a score board. It’s a way of life – it’s living with purpose. We
call on each other to break the mold, to blaze our own trails and lend a hand to each other along the way.
This is our life. This is our game. We are #gamechangers.
As the Grand Order of the Aleph Zadik Aleph and the International Order of the B’nai B’rith Girls, we are
welcoming new brothers and sisters in our family every year. One of the most important things that we can do as
Alephs and B’nai B’rith Girls is to educate and inspire each other about the future that we will build, together.
Our strong and dynamic International Order represents the Jewish People’s unwavering commitment to serving as
gamechangers in our personal lives, our communities and around the world. In the coming weeks, months and
years, we, the Jewish youth, will continue to plan strong Judaic programs, grow our fraternities and sororities and
celebrate the Jewish traditions that link us all together. The actions that we will take together will work to
guarantee that the vitality and vibrancy of our community’s strength, character and potential is realized.

story(ies) with us. We pledge to you today, during this Global Shabbat, in unison with our brothers and sisters
around the world, to carry your wisdom and story(ies) with us as we continue to grow as active and accountable
citizens in our communities. You have taught us. You have inspired us. You have given us permission to dream
crazy dreams and chase them passionately.
Alephs and B’nai B’rith Girls strive to exemplify strength, dignity, honor and courage. Your story and the impact
you continue to make on the community around you displays an extraordinary vision of these values that we can
only aspire to embrace for the rest of our lives.
We cannot thank you enough for spending your time with us today. There are few words we can say and little
actions we can take to show our appreciation and convey our gratitude.
As our sages teach us, actions are what define generations, and for us, it would be our honor, to express our thanks
by bestowing upon you honorary lifetime membership into BBYO’s fraternity and sorority – the Grand Order of
the Aleph Zadik Aleph and the International Order of the B’nai B’rith Girls.
We share with you the membership pins of AZA and BBG, and our handbooks. As we promise to live our Jewish
tradition proudly, we invite you to be a part of our Movement’s traditions that have inspired our lifelong
commitments to Judaism. As we hand you your pin, your menorah, let us celebrate the new light you shed onto
us.
By the power vested in us by BBYO, we hereby induct you into the International Order of the Aleph Zadik Aleph,
B’nai B’rith Girls and BBYO. May you leave with free and joyous hearts, and leap from strength to strength, always
in peace and never alone.
We will make sure that every Jewish teen knows that they have a place with the Jewish People where they can
innovate, dream and chart the course of the future, united. Together, we are serving as a light unto other nations
and securing a strong, safe Jewish future for teens worldwide.
