STORY:
Playschools / Day Care are now inevitable in today’s world. It is at this age (between 1 to 5),
child’s development can be measured at various aspects physically and mentally. All kids would not
require similar kind of attention and guidance. It differs from kid to kid. And so we would always
require a special attention for the kid from the care taker. Playschools / Day care do have a moral
responsibility to have kids grow the right way, as they do spend more time with them than with
their parents. Apart from taking care of kids, they play an important role in child growth &
development. On the other side, for the playschool management team to record, manage and
nurture kids becomes a challenge especially when they have lot of kids.
For this we need a tool that will help Play school to record results, manage across other special
trainers, monitor overall development on all aspects, answer to parents questions and compare child
growth on a monthly basis. Share the same with parents and trainers.
Segmentation:
This is basically for any educational institution that concentrates on child’s growth and
progress. This approach can be applied for all children at any age (From playschool to High School).
This system engages both the parent and instructors to get better desired results.
Targeting:
This application is designed based for Chief Trainer of Play school management. He/she takes
inputs from test conducted, recordings, and inputs from other trainers and parents . This same tool
will help Playschool and parents to be on same page. Parents are happy and satisfied to see a report
that is just not numbers but improvement factors of their kid.
Positioning
The Application will aid the Care taker with a simple and powerful tool to maintain, monitor
and improve Child growth and development factors. Thus stream-line the process and provides a
quick insight to all levels of data at a single glance in one centralized location for all children.

app is designed based on the master detail object type
Chief trainer will use this app to provide data, monitor, decide and manage child progress
1. Primary Information – Place to enter/change primary information
2. Physical Fitness – Page that gets input from trainer on current height and weight of Kid
3. Learning Abilities – Trainer will input marked scored by kid conducted in various method to
test grasping power , memory power and learning abilities
4. Team work – In this page trainer will fill in details on how kids behaves when engaged in
group activity
5. Extra-curricular activities – This page will show updates from other trainers on music,
dance, arts and favorite game.
6. Parents Corner – trainer replies to parents suggestions and requests here which
automatically get reflected in mail system
7. Comparative report – This page shows the Comparative study on how kid has improved
from last month on several growth aspects and finally an overall growth is provided.

Master View displays Name, Id, Image of Kid. Along with Flagged Status – to mention
assessment completed. And Star is to signify that KID is a star Performer (in significant Area)
(2) Detail View:
This View contains detailed information of Kid organized in various tabs as below. Once Chief
Trainer completes inputs he can Complete Assessment (All looks fine, future plans are
complete, ready to share report with Parents and others) or Request Attention (to all trainers
to pay more attention). Contains Details of Flagged Status – to mention assessment
completed. And Star is to signify that KID is a star Performer (in significant Area)

available to make a note of student using Simple Form and Text elements

Physical Development: takes input on Height and Weight. Skill Development: Kids brain growth
can be monitored on below dimensions which are rated either as Need Improvement / Good /
Excellent using radio Buttons

Extra-Curricular Activities: Kid are trained in a Game and Extra-Curricular Activity. Chief trainer
looks at the overall comment provided by Specific Specialised trainer to get an idea .

Change Time Table (Time Slots): Based on above two tabs (ii & iii) time slot for each activity can
be changed based on Slider used. There is a text that displays the value chosen from slider.

Parents Corner: Trainers reply to Parents Suggestions / Questions - Designed through Feed

Comparative Chart: this sections shows graph comparing score of last term against this term
details. It shows improvement percentage. This is being done for 4 categories: Physical

Modifications from Mock Up:
During Development, I combined few tabs to one and changed the look and feel a bit. Used different
UI elements to get better input to improve usability.
