What is an electoral process?
An electoral process is a series of activities brought about by the electoral branch of the government
together with political organizations and voters in accordance with the Constitution of the Bolivarian
Republic of Venezuela, the Organic Law on the Electoral Power, and other norms, in order to carry out
elections for public office and referenda.
What posts are voted on abroad?
Venezuelans residing abroad may vote for the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the
2013-2019 period.
Who has the right to vote in these elections?
Eligible to vote are all Venezuelans 18 years of age or older that are registered in the Electoral Registry
and are not subject to civil interdiction or political disqualification or whose national identity card has
not been declared invalid by the relevant authority (see Article 64 of the Constitution, Article 41 of the
Organic Law on Electoral Processes).
What are the requirements to vote in the United States?

To find out where you should vote, please consult the official website of the National Electoral Council
(CNE) and introduce your identification number to see the name and address of your local voting center.
How can I make sure I’m registered to vote?
You should have received a receipt when you registered to vote, but you may also verify your
registration at any time through the CNE website (www.cne.gov.ve) by introducing your identification
number.

Who is the president of the voting table?
The president of the voting table is the functionary with the highest rank in the diplomatic or consular
office at which 10 or more voters are registered to vote, and the president will designate one secretary
and two principal members of the voting table from among the active functionaries of that diplomatic or
consular office. They will join the voting table unless there are insufficient functionaries, in which case
the secretary and principal members will be chosen at random from among all voters registered to vote
at the given table.
