CDC programs expose students to the latest in technology theory and hands-on experiences in laboratory and real-world environments. To
ensure the integrity of each program, the school’s focus is to coordinate programs with the post- secondary/community college system. CDC
also assists students in job placement and with cooperative work experience. Any high school student from St. Vrain Valley Schools may
attend the Career Development Center. CDC provides students with both academic preparation and practical knowledge. Programs at CDC
provide students job skills, as well as requiring students to maintain specific, rigorous academic standards. Career related training in language,
math and science, along with experiential educational opportunities, provide students with necessary entry-level skills for employment or postsecondary options.
OCHS is a small, structured high school with about 120 students any given quarter. Students can also graduate any quarter that they complete
their graduation requirements (which are the same requirements as all SVVSD high schools). Grades, and thus credits, are awarded four times
per school year (quarterly), rather than twice (by semester). OCHS has seven 50-minute class periods every day, rather than a block schedule.
Experience with alternative education as well as possession of a current CTE Director Credential is preferred.
