Please do not park in a handicap parking place unless you have a handicap designation. Also, the lane closest to the building in the front is our “kiss-‐and-‐go” lane. Parents should not park there for more than two minutes. If you need to speak with your child’s teacher or another KRK staff member, please use the regular parking places available throughout the parking lot. Thanks for your cooperation. 1

Bridge Summer Camp
To prevent summer learning loss,
we would like to introduce our
“Camp Kinder Bridge” Summer
Camp! This summer camp is
specifically designed for students
entering Kindergarten in the Fall.
Students will leave our program
and enter elementary school
feeling confident and proud.
Preparation is key. Many parents
feel they want to help their
children learn to read, write, and
count, but they don’t have time.
Give your child an advantage in
school’ enroll your child in our
“Camp Kinder Bridge” Summer
Camp Program.
Camp Kinder Bridge is for
children ages 4 and 5 years old
entering Kindergarten by August
2013 (Suite 600/Bridge I/Bridge
II.) Including the wonderful
Summer Clubhouse curriculum,
we will be having 1 field trip and
1 splash day per week.
Registration is $60 and everyone,
both new and existing students,
must sign up at the front desk.
Reminder: Change of Clothes
Every child, no matter what age,
needs to keep at least one extra set
of clothes (including underwear)
here at school EVERY DAY. Any
child can have a potty accident,
spill food or milk; or have too
much fun outdoors. While we
keep a few items here in case of
emergencies, we need our families
to be sure there are ALWAYS
extra clothes in their child’s
backpack or cubby. If you do
borrow clothes from the school,
please try to remember to return
them. We are running out of extra
clothing because clothes are
borrowed and not returned. And, if
you would like to donate any
outgrown children’s clothing that
is still in good condition, we
would be very appreciative.
Thanks for working with us! June 17: Eat Your Vegetables Day

Q uic k Reminder!
Parents: Money Orders are like
cash. If one is lost, it can be used
by anyone. To ensure that we
receive any money orders that
you use to pay your tuition,
please DO NOT put them in the
payment box on the side of the
front desk. Money orders should
be handed directly to the front
desk staff. They, in turn, should
issue you a written receipt for the
money order with the money
order number on the receipt. This
will help us get your tuition
payments where they should
go—on your account.

Keeping Kids Entertained
in the Summer
the. “I’m bored!” whining begins,
simply let your child pick an activity
from the jar!
Every parent is familiar with that
point during the summer at which the
beginning of new school year can’t
seem to come fast enough. When you
have a plan though, summer can be
just as fun as it should be.
Decorate an empty jar (this could be
another activity!) and put the
activities on slips of paper. Details for
all examples listed can be found
online.
Consider making a jar with plenty of
activity and adventure ideas. When
Build a fort
Water balloon fight
Make glow in the dark slime
Donuts with Dad
In honor of Father’s Day, we will
be having Donuts with Dads on
June 14 from 6:30-8:00am. This
will be a memorable morning of
donuts for students and the special
men in their lives to enjoy.
Did You Know?
The children and teachers are all
enjoying the new Brainwaves
Curriculum. This new curriculum
from the Corporate Education
Department uses activities
designed for each age that
stimulates the four major portions
of the brain.
NAEYC Update
We had a visit from Ms. Lessie,
the Program Director at our San
Antonio school. She was here to
help us prepare our classrooms for
our NAEYC Accreditation.
We also had a visit from two
directors from another NAEYC
Accredited school. They provided
us with valuable feedback on how
to make our school better. Thank
you, Ms. Cherry and Ms. Erika!

Directions:
1. In a medium sauce pan, heat the
sugar and water over medium
heat. Bring to a boil, and stir until
sugar has dissolved. Remove from
heat, and stir in the corn syrup. Set
aside to cool.
Next, prepare and chill the liquid
layers:
Red: combine 1 cup pomegranate
juice, 2 tablespoons simple syrup,
and 2 drops red food coloring.
Orange: combine 1 cup orange
juice, 2 tablespoons simple syrup,
and 1 drop red and 1 drop yellow
food coloring.
Yellow: combine 1 cup lemonade,
2 tablespoons simple syrup, and 1
– 2 drops yellow food coloring.
Green: combine 1 cup lemonade,
2 tablespoons simple syrup, and 1
– 2 drops green food coloring.
Blue: combine 1 cup lemonade, 2
tablespoons simple syrup, and 1 –
2 drops blue food coloring.
Purple: combine 1 cup
pomegranate juice, 2 tablespoons
simple syrup, and 2 drops blue and
1 drop red food coloring.
Pour the red layer into your Dixie
cups, to about 1/4” thickness, and
freeze for 30 minutes. Add the
orange layer, in the same way, and
freeze for another 30 minutes.
Place the sticks in the center (the
two layers should hold them pretty
well), pour in the yellow layer,
and freeze for another 30 minutes.
Add the green, blue, and purple
layers in the same fashion. The
purple will come very close to the
top of the cup, so handle carefully.
Allow the popsicles to freeze for 3
hours, though for optimal curing,
let them freeze overnight.
There will be some simple syrup
leftover–keep it in your fridge for
future popsicle, lemonade, or
cocktail making.
To serve, simply make a small
incision in the rim of the Dixie
cup and tear the cup off.
