Due to federal and state tax regulations, donations to the church may not be directed to any specific student. All donations must be given to the congregation’s WLC matching program in general and awarded equally by the congregation among the qualified students from the congregation. The church should encourage its members to honor this restriction. The Congregational Matching Grant Program is available exclusively to students enrolled full-time in WLC’s traditional undergraduate program. Students enrolling in the adult education or graduate program are not eligible. WLC may adjust a student’s award amount if receipt of the grant jeopardizes the student’s eligibility for government or other forms of assistance.
