Context
C4’s vision is to be come a regional church of 10,000 meeting the emotional,
physical and spiritual needs of people in Jesus’ name. The following staff position
is critical in the fulfillment of that vision. Role
The Associate Youth Pastor will be a key person within the Junior High and
Senior High Youth ministries of C4, especially as we grow within our multi-site
model. This person will work along side other Youth Ministry staff and volunteers
to ensure the operations of the C4 Youth Ministry in alignment with the mission,
vision and values of C4. Requirements
Fully aligned with the mission, vision and values of C4. Demonstrates a strong loyalty to the leadership of C4.
Spiritual maturity to lead in a growing church environment.
A proven ability to build youth ministry teams or teams within an age/stage ministry.
Ability to function as a part of a large, gift-based, multi-staff church at the site,
department and multi-site level.
A solution-minded self-starter who has a track record of getting things done. Spiritual Gifts
Preferred gift mix would include: leadership, administration, teaching, shepherding.
Education, Experience & Other Requirements
Youth Ministry experience working with students between the ages of 10 and 18.
Undergraduate degree with a Bible College or Seminary is preferred.

Strong leadership skills, particularly related to team building.
Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing
circumstances.
Strong communication skills, especially verbal, and the ability to host, lead
games & activities, event management and teaching youth.
Administration skills required to oversee volunteer teams and coordination
with other C4 Youth staff, including site point person at all venues. Responsibilities
In partnership with other members of the C4 Youth team, support weekend
and midweek C4 Youth Jr. High & Sr. High gatherings.
Regular attendance at Jr. High and Sr. High gatherings.
Occasional teaching of both Jr. High and Sr. High lessons.
Hosting as part of the Youth team at both Jr. High and Sr. High gatherings.
Help recruit, develop and lead volunteers within the Youth ministry.
Provide administrative support including but not limited to: scheduling
volunteers, on boarding new team members, and ensuring adherence to Plan
to Protect.
Work closely with C4 North Durham & East Durham site staff to ensure
excellence in all youth gatherings as part of our multi-site strategy.
Assist in event planning and participation in both Jr. High and Sr. High Youth.
Participate in C4 Staff meetings and team meetings as necessary. Reports
