This musical is considered one of
the masterpieces of modern musical theatre featuring such classics
as The Sound of Music, How Do
You Solve A Problem Like Maria,
16 Going On 17, Edelweiss and
Climb Every Mountain. The Sound
of Music remains one of the most
beloved musicals of all time.
Too high-spirited for the religious
life, Maria is dispatched to serve
as governess for the seven children of widowed Captain von
Trapp. She gradually captures the
heart of the stern Captain, however upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria
has been invaded by the Nazis.
The family narrowly escapes to
Switzerland providing one of the
most inspirational finales ever
presented in musical theatre.
The show runs for three weekends
beginning Saturday, April 29th.
Ticket prices are $15 each and
will be available at the door, from
a cast member or at Scotiabank,
Kemptville.
