Multi-purpose with varying speed adjustments
The Sea Star® is designed with high-end features
such as an electronic sensor that maintains gentle
agitation or vigorous motion while compensating for
full or unbalanced loads.
The slow, soft-start greatly decreases the risk of spills.
Plus, the low adjustable rpm setting provides gentle
shaking – ideal for western blot, molecular biology
and other immunology protocols and applications. For
vigorous culture applications, simply turn the speed
knob up to 300 RPM. The large, back lit digital display
tracks preset timed run, continuous run and rpm settings for
improved test procedure repeatability. Nonstop optical motor
feedback provides instantaneous speed adjustment.
Aesthetically pleasing style and highly intuitive, the Sea Star can be set
for continuous time or up to 49 hours. The LCD display shows speed and
time remaining and an audible beep indicates ending time. The Sea Star is also
designed for use in incubators.
Soft rubber feet minimize walking, and the skid-free rubber mat with unique wave
design acts as a non-slip surface for Petri dishes, culture bottles, media flasks and
dishes. Sturdy anodized platform provides a stable surface for samples with eight
elastic ties for added security. Plug-in-place interchangeable power adapter meets
all source requirements.

Maximum speed with minimal space
This compact centrifuge is ideal for most protocols calling for
fast spins (up to 12,500 rpm / 9,100 rcf) and quick spindowns. Useful for PCR®, microfilter cell separation, clinical
applications, and HPLC protocols. Operation is extremely
simple for this high-level of sophistication: Insert tubes, close
lid, adjust speed/time, and press Start. For duplicate spins,
simply reload rotor and push Start. Designed with quick-spin
option for commonly used 20-second spins. Also includes a
tool-free, quick-change rotor system.
Safety features ensure the unit will not operate with an open
lid, a jammed rotor or when out of balance. Gusto provides
the option of setting and displaying in rpm or rcf. Efficiently

Two new SnapSpin rotors (a six-place standard rotor and an eightplace strip rotor) snap-in and out for fast and easy changes! Plus,

Now available in opaque black for light-sensitive samples
High-quality standards enable high RCF ratings in our premium
conical tubes. Writing areas and flat polyethylene caps provide
ideal opportunities for labeling. The packaging is labeled for
lot-to-lot traceability with “easy-tear” openings. Tubes are all
RNase, DNase and Pyrogen free. All styles are available in
cases of 500 tubes.
Clear Tubes are manufactured from high-clarity propylene.
Each style features dark imprinted graduations and a large white
writing area for sample identification. Available in sterile bulk
and racked versions (50 mL self-standing in bulk only). Rack
versions are made out of reusable cardboard, making them
more environmentally friendly. Sturdy cardboard boxes provide
additional transport protection. Popular self-standing tubes are
available in 50 mL only.
Black Tubes are made from superior polypropylene material
