2016-17 PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
Players are the most important people in the sport. Playing for the team and for the team
to win, is a fundamental part of the game. But not winning at any cost; Fair play and
respect for all others in the game is fundamentally important. The key concepts in this code
are valid for players at all levels and focus on the player’s obligation towards the game and
their own team.
Please read the code with your son/daughter.




Always try hard to improve your skill, technique and stamina.
Always show your best behaviour at practises and matches.
Always be respectful towards fellow players, referees and supporters.
Always try hard to do your best during matches and practices; especially when your
team is not winning.
 Always listen to your coaches, and try your hardest to do as they ask.
 Always try to show fair play and follow the Laws of the Game.
 Always accept victory or defeat with respect for your opponents.
I agree to follow Wetherby Athletic JFC Code of Conduct and to pay any fines given to me
by either the County FA or the club for breaking this code.
I also understand that a serious or repeated breaks of this code may result in me being
asked to leave the club.
