program but is highly recommended.
1. Five courses (minimum 15 credits) in Classical Civilization at the 300-or 400-level, with at least two of these at the 400level. These courses must include at least one course in literature and one course in religion/philosophy. One course in
Ancient Greek or Latin may substitute for one of these Classical Civilization courses. CLARCH 400-level may count toward
this requirement.

5. The "Capstone Seminar" (Advanced discussion and writing of a 10-20 page research paper on a topic in Classical
Civilization (3 Credits). Note: Students may substitute CLCIV 494 (Fall) and 495 (Winter) in place of Capstone Seminar.
