Ravens Football Home Opener
Location: A residence near you | 8:00am
To ensure that you don’t miss out on any of the action,
facilitators will be at your door bright and early to lead you to
the first event of the day! Off-Campus Team – meet at your
group’s designated meeting location.

During this period you will learn tips from your ViceHeads on how to succeed in your first year through an
interactive presentation called “Arrive, Survive, Thrive.”

Much Music Video Dance Party
Location: Raven’s Nest & MNP Park | 6:30pm – 10:00pm
Start your week off right with a warm welcome from your
Orientation Coordinators! This pep rally is where you’ll learn
our school chants and show off your Raven’s Spirit before
your first University Football Game! Get ready, we’ll be
playing the Western Mustangs!
Student Success Workshops
Location: Raven’s Nest | 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Fall under the spell of Richard as he hypnotizes your classmates and maybe even you too!
CU in the Underworld
Location: University Centre | 9:00pm – 1:00am
Check out how Carleton celebrates when the lights go out! This night of events has something for everyone.

Dance the night away with over 3000 of your new friends!
No bags are allowed inside the venue, so make sure to check
it with our staff.
MONDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH
Breaking Pandora’s Box
Location: Raven’s Nest | 9:00am – 10:00am
The Orientation Coordinators will divide you all into small
groups where you will play interactive team icebreaker
games! Let’s see what Pandora’s Box reveals about our new
Olympians!
Canal Games
Location: Hartwell Locks | 11:30am – 5:00pm
Get ready for an action packed day of friendly competition
and larger than life activities including inflatables, a dunk tank,
a slip and slide, and much more. Join us on the Canal for a pizza
lunch, a chance to win the Spirit Award and tons of free swag!
Don’t Forget: we will be taking a class of 2020 photo before the games begin, so in addition to bringing your A-game,
make sure to bring your smiles! Please note: There will be an accessibility shuttle running in front of the University Centre (outside of the Bookstore)

Academic Orientation Day
Location: Various Locations | 8:30am
There’s a lot to do this week. Between finding out where
your classes are, meeting your Fall Orientation group
and learning all about university life, things can get a little
busy! Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Academic
Orientation Day is designed to make sure that you know
all the who’s, where’s and what’s of your Faculty and
Department here at Carleton. The day includes a facultyspecific t-shirt, an informative departmental orientation
session, and a free lunch! To add to all of this, you’ll have
the opportunity to meet your classmates and professors
and find our more about your degree. This is a fun day full
of flavorful information so that you’ll be able to start your

Karaoke & Colouring Coffeehouse
Location: Roosters (4th Floor Unicentre)
Whether you are the next Canadian Idol or just like to sing in
the shower, this event welcomes any level of musical talent!
Also need a place to chill? Grab a coffee and some adult
colouring pages at Roosters while you’re belting out your
favourite tunes!
Speed Mingling
Location: Porter Hall (Unicentre 2nd Floor)
This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with other
new students just like you!
Expo Carleton

Want to get involved in the Carleton community but don’t
know where to start? Want to know what the Carleton

Carleton showcases all the Carleton clubs, societies and
services available to students. From academic societies to

Marc Kielburger is a co-founder of the We Movement, which includes We Charity, ME to WE Social Enterprise and WE Day.
He speaks with his brother Craig at Me to We events where he discusses the power of youth coming together to

Movie under the Stars

Headphone Disco are the inventors of the ‘silent dance party’
and have been touring the world! The DJs spin 2 different
styles of music side by side over 2 different wireless channels.
You can select which DJ you want to listen to using the switch
on the headphones and then dance along to the music of your
choice! On top of all that, the theme of the party is glow in the
dark. We got your black light and your glow sticks so make sure
to show-off your white!

The Off-Campus Odyssey
Athletics Night

New to Ottawa? Want to explore your new home? Join us for
an adventurous night out in the town! Stop by Stella Luna in
the Glebe for a scoop of delicious gelato and then make your
way downtown for Parliament’s Northern Light Show. Who can

We will head out into various locations throughout Ottawa to raise money for Shinerama – Students Fighting Cystic Fibrosis.
Talk to your facilitators to find out more about this campus-wide initiative and to confirm your group’s fundraising location. This
event is a great way to give back to the Ottawa community, bond with your team and contribute to an amazing cause. In case

Outdoor Concert: Walk off the
Earth & Special Guests
Location: Parking Lot 12 | 8:00pm – 11:00pm
End the week off right and come rock out in P12 to the
biggest orientation concert ever! They are an extremely
popular Canadian band known for their cover of Goyte’s
“Somebody I Used to Know” that has over 173 million views
on Youtube. They also won the 2016 Juno award for Group of
the Year!

jam-packed, competitive and fun week!
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 10TH
CUSA & CAB PRESENT:
Mont Cascades Waterpark
Location: Meet outside Prescott House on Library Road | 9:45am – 4:00pm
Grab your bathing suit and your favourite pair of shades for an exclusive day at Mont Cascades Waterpark! If you have purchased
a ticket for Mont Cascades, you should have received an admission ticket and bracelet at registration. Shuttle Buses will be leaving
from Prescott House on Library Road starting at 9:45am, with last call to Mont Cascades at 2:00pm, so students can come and go
as they please. There will be a bag check, and you will need your ticket and admission bracelet to get on the bus. Also, students are
encouraged to pack a lunch or buy food onsite.
Off-Campus Lounge

Come out to Athletics and see what amazing activities they
have to offer! Here is a little taste of what they have in store:
• Pool Party: Come for a swim in our very own River Styx,
