Homemade Applesauce
Ingredients (Serves 4): Steps:
 2 lbs or about 4
1. Apple skins add nutrients and color to your
applesauce, but, if you prefer to, peel your apples
medium-sized apples
now. Core and chop your apples into small cubes.
 2 Tbl lemon juice
2. Place apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, and water in a

pot, and bring it all to a boil over high heat. Then,
 1/4 tsp cinnamon
reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes, until the
(optional)
apple is soft and falling apart.
 3/4 cup water
3. Mash your applesauce with a potato masher, fork,
or the back side of a spoon until it is the texture you
like best. If you prefer smoother applesauce, use a
food processor or blender instead to remove any
chunks. Allow your applesauce to cool, and enjoy!
