We will read many books, poems, and sing songs. In addition we will do a lot of writing. Our main focus this week will be learning the difference between a statement and a question. We will continue to talk about the different parts of a letter and continue writing letters to different people. This was sent home in your child’s homework folder. words that your child needs to learn how to spell for the MAP test that we will take in January. Beginning this week I will be sending home a spelling packet that includes activities that they should complete by Friday. Please choose one activity every night. The packet should be completed by Friday. Be sure to study extra hard on Thursday night because your child will take a test on these words on Friday. If you have any questions about spelling please email me. st-Sept. 4th Math We are beginning a long unit on subtraction. We will begin using manipulatives and move on to the number line and eventually we will be subtracting by counting up. Flash cards make great holiday gifts!
