DETAILED RULES OF THE MARKETING COMPETITION “WIN A SURPRISE FLIGHT
WITH CZECH AIRLINES“
(hereinafter referred to as “competition rules”)
1. COMPETITION ORGANISER
The organiser of the “Win a surprise flight with Czech Airlines” marketing competition (hereinafter
referred to as the “competition”) is České aerolinie a.s., with its registered seat in Prague 6, at Jana
Kašpara 1069/1, postcode: 160 08, ID No.: 457 95 908, registered in the Commercial Registry maintained
by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, entry 1662 (hereinafter referred to as the “organiser” or
also as “Czech Airlines”).
2. TERM OF THE COMPETITION
The competition takes place from 1st October 2013 through to 6th October 2013, inclusive (hereinafter
referred to as the “competition term”) on the organiser’s website
http://www.csa.cz/en/portal/CSA_EXTRA/xtra_90_soutez.htm (hereinafter referred to as the
“competition website”).
3. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Participation in the competition is open to all natural persons over the age of 18 who is legally liable,
register on the competition website (hereinafter referred to as “Contestants”).
A Contestant shall mean everyone who meets the conditions for participating in this competition, who
also:
- Registers during the competition term on the competition website, by stating his/her name,
surname and e-mail address in the registration form that is available throughout the competition
term on the competition website, and granting the entity arranging the competition and the
organiser his/her consent to the use of his/her personal information for marketing purposes, in line
with Article 7 of these rules;
- Makes a guess how many flights in total were dispatched by Czech Airlines between Prague or
Karlovy Vary and destinations in the Russian Federation in 2012. The Contestant who comes
closest to the actual outcome will receive the prize stated below. If there are several identical
answers, the time of submission shall be decisive, and the prize will go to the contestant who
submitted his answer the earliest.
4. PRIZES, CONDITIONS FOR WINNING PRIZES
A Contestant must comply with the above-stated general conditions for participating in this competition.
The organiser has contributed six (6) prizes to the competition. A prize in this competition shall mean 1
return ticket from Prague (i.e. Václav Havel Airport Prague, Ruzyně (PRG) including all taxes and fees to

a destination of organizer choice on Czech Airlines (with the exception of destinations operated on the
basis of code-share cooperation) operated flights (hereinafter referred to as a “Prize”). A prize is awarded
to six (6) contestants whose answer is the closest to the correct answer, in line with the conditions
specified below in these competition rules.
Conditions for winning a prize in this competition are specified below:
- The contestant’s participation in the competition on the basis of his registration stated above;
- Every contestant may only register once during the competition term
- Answering the competition question and sending the answer that is the closest to the actual real
outcome according to the competition rules
- Presenting a valid identification document at the time of receiving the prize.
The game in the competition is based on the contestant guessing how many flights in total were
dispatched by Czech Airlines between Prague or Karlovy Vary and destinations in the Russian Federation
in 2012. Six (6) contestants whose answer is the closest to the real outcome will get the prize. If there are
several identical answers, time will be decisive, i.e., who sent his answer earliest.
If a contestant manages to guess the number of flights that is the closest to the real outcome during the
competition term, he/she wins a ticket including all taxes and fees from Prague (i.e. Václav Havel Airport
Prague, Ruzyně (PRG) to a destination of organizer choice on Czech Airlines flights (not including codeshare flights), where he/she can choose the date of departure and arrival (hereinafter referred to as the
“winner”).
In the event that a contestant wins the prize to concrete destination, he/she will be informed by an
electronic e-mail message, sent to the e-mail address he/she stated when completing the registration form
when registering for the competition, within 1 work week of the end of the competition term by the
organiser (hereinafter referred to as a “notice of winning”).
It is absolutely necessary for a potential winner to respond to the organiser’s notice of winning by
20th October 2013, in the form of an electronic e-mail message sent to [email protected] (hereinafter referred
to as a “reply”), stating in this reply to the notice of winning the desired date of departure and arrival. The
place of departure shall mean Prague (i.e. Václav Havel Airport Prague, Ruzyně (PRG) and the place of
arrival shall mean a destination of organizer choice to which Czech Airlines flies (not including so-called
code-share flights). If the winner fails to send his reply by 20th October 2013, he/she forfeits his/her prize
without a right to compensation.
The organiser explicitly informs the contestant that the use of prizes in this competition is subject to the
following rules:
- All segments of the prize stated in the ticket must be used/flown by 10th January 2014 (the latest
date of the return flight), otherwise it forfeits to the organiser without a right to compensation;
- The winner of a prize shall inform the organiser on the basis of a notice of winning, in the form of
his/her reply, about the date of departure and arrival of the prize that the contestant won in the

competition. The organiser shall confirm the date selected and the name of the winner, and in
exceptional cases shall offer the winner a substitute date or dates. The prize must be issued by
30th November 2013, otherwise it forfeits to the organiser without a right to compensation;
The selected time-schedule of the prize (resp. departure and arrival date) cannot be subsequently
changed;
A prize is non-transferable, i.e., the ticket will be issued in the name that was given at the time of
the contestant’s registration, and cannot be changed;
The prize does not include transport to and from the airport at the place of departure (i.e. Václav Havel
Airport Prague, Ruzyně (PRG) and from and to the airport at the place of destination.
The prize shall be provided to the winners in the form of an electronic ticket of the organiser sent by the
organiser to the winner’s e-mail address specified when filling out a registration form when registering
for the competition.
The names and surnames of the winners shall be published on the competition website
http://www.csa.cz/en/portal/CSA_EXTRA/xtra_90_soutez.htm between 10th October 2013 and
15th October 2013.
5. ELIMINATION FROM THE COMPETITION
All persons who are in an employment or similar relationship to the organiser, entity organising the
competition, or companies taking part in organising this competition, including all companies that are
members of the same group, within the meaning of Sec. 66a of Act No. 513/1991 Coll., the Commercial
Code, as amended (including the controlling person, directly or indirectly controlled persons, and persons
directly or indirectly controlled by the same person) as Czech Airlines - České aerolinie a.s.,
ID: 457 95 908, with its registered seat in Prague 6, at Jana Kašpara 1069/1, postcode 160 08, Czech
Republic and/or Český Aeroholding, a.s., ID No.: 248 21 993, with its registered seat in Prague 6, Jana
Kašpara 1069/1, postcode: 160 08, Czech Republic (hereinafter jointly referred to as the “Czech Airlines’
Group Companies”) and their family members (relatives) in a direct line, as well as spouse, and siblings.
All contestants shall be eliminated from the competition who have in any way failed to comply with these
rules of the competition or breach the rules. The organiser shall also be entitled to decide about the
elimination of any contestant who is reasonably suspected of employing unfair, fraudulent, or dishonest
practices in the competition. By being eliminated from the competition, a contestant loses his right to win
a prize, without a right to compensation.
Also every contestant who is reasonably suspected of having stated untrue or fictitious information when
registering for the competition shall be eliminated from the competition, as well as a contestant who
registers for the competition more than once, with modified information about himself/herself.

6. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORGANISER
The organiser reserves the right to substitute, in place of the declared prizes, prizes of a similar kind and
corresponding value, and to change the conditions for the hand-over of the prizes if prizes are not
available to the organiser at the relevant time, such that they could be handed over to the winners at least
in a substitute manner; furthermore, the organiser reserves the right to make the final decision in any and
all matters related to the organising of the competition, including the right to unilaterally change the rules
of this competition, also including the right to change the competition term or the right to terminate the
competition prematurely or cancel the competition without prior notice. The change of the rules of the
competition, cancellation of the competition or premature termination of the competition will be published
on organizer website www.csa.cz.
No prizes in this competition can be exchanged for cash and no prizes other than those designated by the
organiser may be demanded. Neither participation in the competition nor any prize may be demanded by
force of law and alternative performance in cash is excluded.
The organiser shall not be liable for the non-delivery of a notice of winning in the event of a change in the
winner’s e-mail address, the non-delivery of a notice of winning due to the winner’s mailbox being full or
closed, for reasons on the part of the relevant service provider or for any other reasons not resulting from
its own actions. The organiser is only obliged to inform each winner of his prize once, in writing, by
means of an electronic e-mail message to the winner to the winner’s e-mail address, as he/she stated when
completing the registration form when registering for the competition.
The organiser shall ensure the payment of any withholding tax imposed on prizes in line with the
applicable legal regulations.
7. PERSONAL INFORMATION
By participating in the competition, each contestant:
a)
Gives the organiser and the company charged with making organisational arrangements for this
competition – i.e., the entity organising the competition, in line with Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on
certain information society services and on amending certain acts (Act on Certain Information
Society Services), as amended, his/her consent to the processing of his/her personal information,
using his/her e-mail address in order to initiate contact with the contestant during the competition and
also for the purpose of sending him-her commercial communication, information about the course of
this competition, and information about other marketing projects of the organiser;
b) Gives the organiser, as the administrator, in line with Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the Protection of
Personal Information, as amended, his/her consent to the processing of his/her personal information,
which means his/her first name, surname and e-mail address, as he/she provides to the organiser in
connection with his/her participation in the competition or the drawing of the prize, in order to check
on his/her valid participation in the competition, for handing over the prize in the competition, and
for other business and marketing purposes of the organiser, for a term of 5 years; the contestant also

agrees with the publication of his/her first name and surname in the media and on the organiser’s
website if that use is in connection with this competition, in particular for the purpose of announcing
the winners. A contestant also gives his/her consent to his/her personal information being processed
in full and solely for the reasons set out above, including through third persons authorised by the
organiser, in particular the company authorised to make organisational arrangements for the
competition. The organiser may add to that personal information other personal information of the
contestant. The provision of personal information is voluntary. The contestant may withdraw his
consent, in writing, sent to the address of the organiser, and also exercise his rights under Sec. 21 of
Act No. 101/2000 Coll., as amended, in particular the right to access data concerning him/her, and
the right to supplement, correct, or block that data or to request that it be liquidated, as well as the
right to an explanation, right to an apology, financial consideration or financial compensation, if the
actions of the administrator breached the contestant’s right to human dignity, the protection of
personal honour and good reputation, and the right to the protection of one’s name. The withdrawal
of consent takes effect upon delivery and results in the elimination of the contestant from future
participation in the game, including the loss of his right to receive the prize, if delivered prior to its
hand-over.
c)
If a contestant becomes a winner, he/she grants to the organiser, in line with Sec. 12 of Act No.
40/1964 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended, his/her consent to the creation and/or the use of his/her
likeness, his/her written expressions, visual images and audio-video recordings concerning his person
or his expressions of a personal nature obtained by the organiser in connection with the organisation
of the competition and hand-over of the prize (hereinafter referred to as “image”) for commercial
purposes in any communication medium, regardless of their nature and intended use, by any usual
means, with their subsequent modification or combination with other works or integration into an
aggregate work. The contestant, resp. the winner hereby grants his/her consent to the organiser free
of charge, without any functional, temporal, or territorial restriction, or restriction as to volume, and
he/she can withdraw that consent at any time. This consent applies to any third persons to whom the
organiser provides the image in line with its purpose.
8. AVAILABILITY OF THE RULES OF THE COMPETITION, GOVERNING LAW
The organiser is not responsible for the completeness of any excerpt from these competition rules that
may be communicated in an abridged version on promotional or other materials in connection with the
competition. These rules are considered the only complete and final rules of the competition.
The contestant who breaks the rules of the competition is fully responsible for any possible damage
caused by this action to České aerolinie a.s.
The complete rules of the competition are available throughout its term on the organiser’s website
www.csa.cz.
Participation in the competition is voluntary and by participating in the competition a participant
expresses his/her consent to the rules thereof.

The rules of this competition, the competition, and the legal relations between the organiser and the
contestants, resp. the winners shall be governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
České aerolinie a.s. is the only final authority for the interpretation of the rules of the competition.
The text of these rules is made in the Czech language and English language. In case of dispute or
ambiguity in the interpretation of language mutations, the text of Czech version shall always prevail.
These competition rules come into effect on 1st October 2013 and supersede all previous versions of the
competition rules.
