Readers of all ages will explore all things sports and fitness this summer as the Bertha Bartlett and Gilbert Libraries present the 2016 summer reading program from June 3 to Aug 20. The 2016 Summer Reading Program “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!” is open to young people, preschool through 6th grade, with programs, prize drawings, storytimes and more. Area tweens and teens are encouraged to participate in “Get in the Game: READ!,” the teen summer library program. Tweens and teens are invited to read for prizes. Special events this summer will include life-size games, library mini golf and an Amazing Race challenge. “Exercise Your Mind—Read” is the theme of the 2016 Adult Summer Reading Program. Patrons are invited explore a variety of ways to improve their health and well-being, including fitness, nutrition, and stress relief. Join a book club, take on a fitness challenge, try meditation, or learn to cook healthier foods. Try our adult summer reading challenge and win a prize upon completion. Registration for all ages begins on May 17.
